The Timberwolves are currently in sixth place in the West. Charlotte is in 13th place in the East. The schedule gets easier after this game, but the coach needs to make some changes in the rotation to improve the defense. Minnesota starts a rookie at center, a last-season veteran at power forward, and an equally ancient small forward. They should be vulnerable if Coach Clifford can find the right combination of big men, not including Hawes.

Didn't realize we had two days off before our next game. I wish we ran Kemba for 40 minutes last night.

Pokemon = Hornets will win this game. :D
My picks:
2020 Draft (3rd pick) - Tyrese Haliburton, Devin Vassell, or Onyeka Okongwu
2021 Draft (11th pick) - Moses Moody

Can't believe they dug up the corpse of Prince, start him and play him for 39 minutes. Would be quite important whether KMart is away or not.

Hawes right now is probably best to be used situationally, to bang against big slow centers and pull them out on offense. He's gotta not try to do too much.

Would be nice to watch Wiggins and Towns play with Rubio for the first time.

I'm not sure how much more of Hawes I can put up with. This seems to be turning into a maxiel situation, except this time the offending player is owed money for another 3 years. His good moments are just not worth all of the other crap he brings - bad defense, turnovers, loose passing.

Clifford also needs to figure out the Cody situation. I don't know if he is still suffering from his weight loss, but he is damn near useless right now in this current offense.

Clifford is once again showing his stubbornness with rotations and style of play.

Lin and Lamb need a bounce back game.

when you have a lead, do not put hawes in, he will kill the momentum single handedly
when you are trailing, do not put hawes in, he will start an avalanche right away
i guess the only time you can put him in is when the score is tied at 200, when everybody is tired to death, he will single handedly win the game for you, with or without the stache
Hi Clutchie, I love you... :kiss

good luck charm - Nikola Pekovic checking out a Bulls dancer.

0:20 is fantastic. Pekovic pats Shabazz on the shoulder so he would also take a look at her. Not that Muhammad should be all in on that time-out considering the fact that he isn't likely to check back in, however, it's like the complete opposite of veteran leadership. Just takes one of the young guys and directs his attention away from the team huddle.

We need more of this on Tuesday night. Hopefully Pek bypasses KG and takes Towns's attention away from the game as well. That's my pre-game analysis for this match-up.

I think this game will be a lot more interesting than all of our previous ones. The Wolves are probably the closest matchup we've seen so far. No depleted rosters (mavs), no f'n powerhouses (spurs), no first day messiness (heat), no 1 seeds on a home/away (atlanta)

looking forward to it

but i'll be at work so bleh

mavs team wasn't even balanced really... they still feel that the only way that they can win games is by getting a rhythm on the perimeter (which isn't entirely wrong with matthews, deron, parsons, dirk... but those guys have all seen better days). our defense isn't even all that good but we were more than capable of dealing with a team so one dimensional

Random tidbits:

(1) MIN has a game tonight on the road against ATL.

(2) MIN has been very solid defensively so far this season, especially when they are closing out games, though they've had a relatively easy schedule with their first three games against LAL, DEN, and POR.

Jim Petersen ‏@JimPeteHoops
One reason the @Timberwolves have won 3 early road games has been their stingy crunch time defense.

(3) Al should be able to feast on KAT in the paint, but KAT has a lot of quickness and will be a tough defensive cover for Al. Will be very interesting to watch that matchup.

(4) Rubio has been excellent so far this season at facilitating their offense, 9.2 assists to 2.0 tos in 31 mpg. His shooting is as bad as ever though. Hopefully Kemba can limit some of his effectiveness.

Minnesota is playing Atlanta on the road right now, so they will be on a back-to-back tomorrow night.
