The spacing would be alot better for sure giving players the space they need to operate.

Offensively, yes Lakers would put up more points... End product (wins/losses) It'd be a push.. D'Antoni teams don't play D and with this team we'd get killed on transition D after missed shots

In Dantoni's eyes, you can't have spacing without a stretch 4 or a stretch 5. Dantoni is obsessed with stretch 4's. He would not play Randle or Nance Jr, since neither can hit the 3 point shot. He hates post play with a passion. In Dantoni's eyes, Ryan Kelly would be a better player than Randle or Nance Jr or even Pau Gasol. This is the same coach the thought waiver wire material Earl Clark was better than Pau and played him over Pau. Pau leave and was the starting center for the east all star game, Earl Clark is no longer in the NBA. Plus Dantoni's teams don't play defense and his player are never held accountable for not playing defense.

Mike D'antoni would be the worst coach for this team and our young group of players.

It's actually pretty funny seeing people mention d'antoni's defensive coaching in a thread that is comparing him to a coach that has lead his team to a bottom 5 defense for like 5-6 yrs straight

This is dream roster for him. He'll probably will play beast and nance together and run all day with russell clarkson beast nance. He probably won't play Anthony Brown tho.

And huertas would looks like a Steve Nash under him.

Everyone would get injured including Kobe after playing him 35+ minutes.
Ryan Kelly would be the starting center
D'angelo would be averaging 15 assists per game
Randle would be shooting 32% at the 3 point line shooting 8 3's per game
Clarkson would be averaging 30+ points
Tarik Black would be Rodman

In-regards to winning games ... No. But making players look better Yes... He'd make Huertas look like an allstar

We'd probably be putting up more points but I highly doubt the end result would be much different.

Well, it's not exactly like "doing better" is a very high bar these days.

I don't know if we'd have more wins, but I think we'd be incredibly fun to watch. I for one love the idea of starting Nance as an undersized C like he did with Amare. Nance actually rolls hard and can hit the little pop which is EXACTLY what D'ANtoni wants from his C. He'd start Kelly at the PF over Randle of course. But that pick and roll between D'Angelo/Clarkson and Nance would be sublime.

assuming DAntoni stayed, Lin would still be a Laker.

We'd be a lot better to watch on offense that's for sure. The spacing now is just terrible. Probably have the same record though.

Anyone would be doing better. Scott is sh*t.

Record wise, we would probably get a few more wins out of this team. Dantoni can work wonders with the group of point guards we have. And his up tempo style is perfectly suited for Clarkson and Russell, since it simplifies the game down to basically a fast break lay up drill for them every possession. Our offensive efficiency would be much, much improved if Dantoni is coaching the team.

On defensive side of the ball, we would probably rank dead last in the league, which isn't really that far off where we are at right now anyway. Dantoni will probably never play Hibbert and start Bass at C, since he can shoot and run. Byron "Championship" Scott is nothing but a has been and has done nothing to improve this team in any way shape or form.

Regardless of it being better record wise it would at least be fun to watch some of the games have been just terrible to sit through. They should have just let kobe be player/coach like Bill Russell its not like byron tells kobe anything anyhow.

Well you can't be much worse than you are already as a team defensively. Dead last in the NBA in Def Eff, not even D'Antoni teams were ever this bad defensively. 2nd to last in Off Eff. So yeah right now any coach would seem like an improvement. Either way, D'Antoni would be great as a coach for Russell while not forcing us to watch Lou chuck it up for 36 mpg while our young PG gets to sit on the bench.

to MDA's credit, he gets the most out of lesser players. so yeah, id expect more competitive and visually pleasing games. but his lack of attention to defense will forever be his Achilles heel. just look at PHI. they actually run something that resembles an offense now, and thats with a 3rd rate PG in Ish smith.

with the league slowly, but surely making that transition to small ball, MDA might actually have a future as an NBA head coach again. but for his sake, i pray he surrounds himself with some defensive coordinators (would not be surprised if the suns look at him this summer)

Mike Brown would.

Yeah I said it. HE took Scott's Cavs team and improved their O and D.
