Quite a nice list there and coincides with Calderon's contract expiring.

Sure. We're keeping our expectations low, and not worrying about the playoffs. We're all about development.

Would be the best thing, Conley will not leave Memphis and Jennings don't seems to be the guy. But another year with Calderon as starter? Poor NYKnicksTAPE :D

Only thing is wasting more of Melo's prime...

I would love to sign Batum and a stop gap PG like Chalmers on a short deal. Moves that would both help us become a contender next year (not wasting Melo prime) AND prime us to sign a stud PG offseason 2017.

No. It will have to be done by trade so waiting only hurts the teams development. Hurts KP's development.

Key pieces: Carmelo and KP

Hope to keep: Robin Lopez, d will

Sure to be upgraded through fa: Afflalo

Completely replaceable and exchangeable: the rest of the roster

It's time to start all over now that you know what you have with KP. He's ready now. Get a guard to pair with those forwards. All others can be replaced or refilled through free agency. Will take a trade now. Use everybody and picks

A stop gap PG could lead us to a playoff run now, AND be good enough for next season.

I see this thread and all I can think about is how Barron Davids is right there on the vine, ripe for the pickin'. Wake up, Donnie!

Probably, since we don't really have the assets to acquire a real starting PG now without damaging the future.

Dellavadova would be a great fit in the triangle. Dunno how much $$ he'd command though.

If we get Batum would we be able to afford a WB or CP3 the season after?

Lol is this the official 2017 PG thread now? We spent pages in the Conley thread on this.

I definitely prefer a PG in 2017 vs. Conley or any other PG this offseason. We need more multi-purpose bodies & Nicolas Batum fits the bill (can play 2, 3 or 4). Let Grant develop another year & have a stop gap then go all in on a Westbrook, Curry, CP3, Teague or Jrue Holiday in 2017.

Depends. There's another cap spike in 2017 & if we don't extend Galloway, Lance Thomas, AA & DWill plus let Calderon expire then we should have enough.
