Let me start by saying this - nba officiating as a whole is inconsistent, that much we know, and every team gets burned by bad calls throughout te season. And while the league hasn't done a ton to correct it, at least they're being transparent in their recent 2-minute reports.
But is it just me or does it seem like the Pacers are routinely on the wrong end of those this year (not saying it's intentional or "rigged" but an observation.
The league said Indy should've gotten more time on the last possession against the Clips. The NBA also mentioned botched calls against at least Chicago, Miami, and I think Detroit earlier this year. Would correct calls have netted extra wins? Who knows. But it's an annoying trend this year

Re: Officiating this year
I actually think that replay and remote viewing from officials that can make calls in real time will ultimately become a bigger part of officiating than the guys that run around the court. Ultimately, I think technology will have a chance to solve a lot of these problems that tend to revolve around human error.
At the end of the day, the beginning of this year has shown quite a bit of the Pacers crying to the refs instead of performing on the court, trying to get calls instead of focusing on execution, and hoping to get bailed out when we haven't shown enough resolve to close out games. If this team really deserves the W that night, a few close calls going one way or another shouldn't really make a big difference. Crying about it just makes us look bad, but it won't improve anything. We can't expect the officials to perform their jobs 100% free of error, especially when our own players fall very, very short of that standard themselves. Man up, play the game right, and if there is a legit call that costs us a game here or there, THEN we might have cause to complain.
