Should the hawks take a look at Demare Derozen?

Bazemore might leave in FA, and the hawks would seem to have a need at the SG and primary scorer role.

While most teams are jamming the phones trying to call durrant, I think a team could swoop in and steal a 2nd tier FA like DD.

As hawk fans, what would you consider the best move for the Hawks to improve the team? They fought the Cavs hard, but need that closer, that guy that wants the ball and wants to take the shot. I think Derozen can be that guy for the Hawks
USA Celtics in full effect. Amazing chemistry building experience right there for the main core of the team

Proceeds to finish 7th and shames the entire nation!

DD has kinda hurt his stock in this playoff run, but yes, Id be in favor of getting him. He has talent. something the Hawks need.

I;m not in favor of this.

DeRozan would just be a Band-Aid that wouldn't really solve what ails ATL. Overpaying for a 2nd Tier star that might not fit in the offense, and won't drastically improve our standing in the East is a poor idea.

DD added to this core still doesn't get us past LeBron. And I'm not willing to pay $20+ million per year to lose in 5 games instead of 4 next playoffs.

It would weaken the Raptors and strengthen the Hawks. hes a better 2 guard than anyone else on the roster right now. He can create his own shot, he can get to the FT line. He needs to improve his 3pt shot, good thing we seem to do that with everyone who comes here.

Now the issue, as mentioned above, is SG will come at a price of his scoring production (he averaged 24 PPG!!!!!) I have no problem paying a 26 year old 20 million vs paying a 30 year old PF who plays Center 30 million.

The problem with DD is if you pay him that much money, then you are most likely trading away Korver or THJ and it doesnt give you an answer at SF (cause Baze is gone) and you cant sign AH to that deal and sign DD. You would basically be addition by subtraction.

Even wit his struggles he'll still receive a max contract.

Since I believe he'll receive a max contract I believe he's not in the Hawks best interest.
He's not a #1 guy, more like a #2.

No, because Derozen can't guard Lebron. Hawks should be looking at Harrison Barnes because he is one of three guys in the NBA that has been successful in guarding Lebron.

Hawks signing Derozen still has Lebron sweeping the Hawks.
