If that is what the draft board looks like when we are on the clock, I would be doing back flips.

I would go with my man, Dejounte Murray, but also would be fine with Bembry, Diallo, Hernangomez, Ullis and Stone.
Plus, why would I want to go to the NBA? Duke players suck in the pros.

In this board I would love to see us pick DeAndre Bembry.

kind of a guy who could contribute right away and always have some tools in his pocket that makes you surprise how he did get that in there. Doc loves that.

I voted Diallo cause I'm very intrigued by his length and defensive potential, but I'd be ok with Bembry, Ulis, Beasley, and probably others like Brogdon or McCaw. I'd be pissed that we missed Prince by just a spot though.

Given the tie vote and an equal amount of support in the discussion, let's go with the higher rated prospect on Draft Express at this point - Diallo. Good luck in the draft.

Same. Ulis was leading the vote for Philly for a good while and then Prince shot up in the last few hours.

I probably would have went with McCaw if he were on the poll, but I was intrigued by Diallo's upside. He's raw and a little undersized for his position, but makes up for it in length, motor and defensive potential.

I would pick Dejounte Murray if he was actually available, and Malcolm Brogdon/Thon Maker/Zhou Qi with second pick. I would be really happy with that.

Diablo seems undersized for the skill set that he has shown (even though he's young.)

can someone explain to me why murray is a good fit/pick for this team? i don't watch college ball at all but from all descriptions i've read of him, he seems to be a shot-hunting scorer who isn't a great shooter or defender. are these descriptions wrong?

I wouldn't call him a good fit, but I like his upside and if he's available, he's one of the only guys left in the draft with legit creation skills.

He's a long-term prospect in my eyes. I thought he was the better player vs. Chriss on Washington, but needs to put on some muscle and grow into his body.

Not much of a shooter, but good size as a PG, athletic, long, can get to the rack and has defensive potential, especially with that massive wingspan.
Plus, why would I want to go to the NBA? Duke players suck in the pros.

i guess it's hard for me to see much point with a pick like him when we're likely going to bring back austin/crawford, and probably to play heavy minutes at those spots for the next couple years. contrast that to starting/backup SF and backup PF/C spots where we could use help and start developing right away.

i mean sure stashing a guy is usually fine from a BPA/talent perspective, but it seems like there will be some SF's/PF's with potential at that point in the draft for us also, right? we can conceivably draft for both need and talent instead of just pure talent at 25, correct?

I like Bembry, just wish he was a better 3pt shooter. I would've loved Prince or Jackson.

I'd go with Stone. Murray just seems too much like Jamal Crawford part duex, and though I like Ullis, we all know Doc will keep Austin and play him over anyone. Stone is going to be a good to great rebounder, with the ability to play physical defense, though his offense will be a lot to work on.
