Detroit Pistons 2016 Voting Big Board - #12

Post#1 » by coordinator0 » Wed Jun 15, 2016 1:51 am

Jaylen Brown finally came off of the board winning the eleventh spot on Detroit's big board. I'm not surprised he fell for our voting in particular, but he was easily the best player available at this point in my opinion and had my vote.

Who's your pick for the #12 player on Detroit's big board?

1. Ben Simmons
2. Brandon Ingram
3. Dragan Bender
4. Jamal Murray
5. Kris Dunn
6. Buddy Hield
7. Marquese Chriss
8. Wade Baldwin
9. Deyonta Davis
10. Jakob Poeltl
11. Jaylen Brown

Skal Labissiere would be a good pick here. He still has a lot of potential as a stretch 4 shot blocker.

This was my hardest decision yet. I don't absolutely love any of the options available here. If there weren't concerns about Valentine's knee then I probably would have went with him, but I settled on Sabonis instead. He's not a real clean fit for what the Pistons need now or potentially going forward but I still like him as a prospect.

There's a tie right now between Labissiere and Sabonis. I really don't want to do a runoff, so somebody please break it.

Went Ellenson bit I'd take Sabonis between those two. Skal scares me a little.
Comments to rationalize bad contracts -
1) It's less than the MLE
2) He can be traded later
3) It's only __% of the cap
4) The cap is going up
5) It's only __ years
6) He's a good mentor/locker room guy
