Giannis' Development part 2

Post#1 » by Fotis St » Thu Jun 30, 2016 10:43 am

Like to share my thoughts about PGs

I was playing PG for about 7 seven years in Greece, and there was one basic rule in my head !!!

Those last words of Red Auerbach .... " No pass is a good pass unless your teammate catches it " !!!

I was watching all this videos with Red that he affected my game, across the atlantic, in Greece.

I was finishing games playing 40min and had zero turnovers.

So this is my cheat code for Giannis to help him in the PG position...

Have to ask the Buck's assistants coaches that escort him.

This is a qualifying tournament, one loss and you are out. So he is not thinking for experimenting his shooting in this Tournament. He wants to qualify to Rio and after our two easy wins against Iran and Mexico ... he will battle for Rio against Croatia and Italy in 3 days ... So he is not and probably won't shoot alot. But he will need to make some against these teams to create space. I hope he nails every one of them when it matters.

That is why some Buck's stuff escorting him, for some personal training.

He has actually shot only one three pointer in three matches. His confidence seems at an all time low.Last year he was taking a lot more and after a rough start he was making them in a good rate.He seems to have regressed a lot this season.

Did you really just post a lineup with the starting 2 guard being JR Smith?

Our actual management posted a lineup with the starting 2 guard being Tony Snell.

Greek Team isn't going any where. Get him back in the states and working out with his teammates.

Euroleague wrote:Giannis' career is rapidly going nowhere.

He will obviously have no success with Greece's national team (he's not good enough to carry other players and bad coaches to medals like Spanoulis)...

and he's obviously going to be a career loser in the NBA with the Bucks (lotto and first round exists probably every year) in the joke eastern conference.

Just putting this crap in here as a remainder for the future and shove it up to mirotic aka euroleague arse in the future.
I **** love doubters but i love idiots even more, its much more satisfying to shut them up.

Looks like he's been working on his lower body strength, all the clips I've been seeing from his Antetokounmbros stuff to the NT friendlies and whatnot he looks more explosive. Gets up higher and accelerates better in transition. There were a couple dunks in the Antetokounmbros thing where he was legit head at rim level.

He is really trying to adjust with FIBA playstyle right now. He said that in the NBA he feels more free in terms of his gameplay because it is more forgiving when making a mistake in FIBA its more strategic and more tight.
This is fantastic for Giannis development, if he manages to get around FIBA playstyle and the defense they play then he will be MUCH better in the NBA.

Giannis tried that dunk towards the end of the season in a game, but couldn't quite finish it. I think he is gonna pull that out this season and this time it's gonna go down and it will be amazing.
