Celtics renounced rights to Jared Sullinger - now an UFA

More than the math, they did renounce Sullinger, good call

Math suggests Celtics were required to have already renounced their restricted free agent rights to either Jared Sullinger or Tyler Zeller.

Explains his "change is coming" tweet a few days ago. Did BOS have to do this to fit in Horford or do they have plans to make another move? Not a lot out there left on the FA market.

I'd take him in Miami but our training regiment might kill him.

Do we ever. We're one injury of JV away from having the worst froncourt in the league.

I actually think that Sully on a bench/limited minute role is dangerous. Conditioning is a serious issue with him. He's got to play at least 20 mpg to have any hope of turning the corner.

I thought Boston loved Sully. WAs I wrong?
"Thibs called back and wanted more picks," said Jorge Sedano. "And Pat Riley, literally, I was told, called him a mother-bleeper and hung up the phone."

Good player but I did not want to be the team to pay him.

You'd rather have somone that's been out of basketball for two years than somone who's a top 15 rebounder the past two seasons despite only playing 25 minutes a game? Sullinger wouldn't sign for the vets min anyway, he'll most likely get 6-10 mill somewhere. The conditioning thing has been completely overblown, he's still a productive player if he isn't playing thirty minutes a night.

Sanders would be a bigger need as in blocking shots, grabbing dunks, rebounds

yes. I thought he was gone as soon as last season started and despite some pointed comments from Ainge prior to the offseason he came in only slightly lighter than before. He gained weight all through the season as well. Once they agreed with Horford he was looking at 4th on the big man chart at best (Horford, Amir Johnson, Olynyk, and they play Crowder at 4 in small ball).

Perhaps he goes to the Nets. He needs to be on a team where he will play at least 20 mins a night to increase his value in hopes of a better payday next summer.

We don't need another 6'8 big who can't block shots. David West 6'8 and McAdoo 6'9. We need a shot blocka!
