Did Kobe had one of the quickest first step in nba?

The first step is a real weapon in basketball, even more on isolation.
At 35 Kobe had a quicker first step than most of the athletic young guards.
Did he have one of the quickest FS in nba history when he was younger?

Yes, he did. Wade and Iverson had clearly quicker, but Kobe was top 5 in the league in this regard during his prime (especially in the early/mid 2000s), probably.

I'm a Kobe fan and i only realized how quick his first step was when he was older, because younger guys looked so slow in comparison.
In my opinion this is why he didn't have to dribble like Harden or guys like that. His first step was unreal.

Sure had (somewhat similar to Hibachi and Mac, a bit below prime Wade). Relative to size though, I don't think I've seen a more demolishing first-step than prime Grant Hill's. Iverson's was as phenomenal as unstoppable. Rose, Monta, Tim Hardaway and Isiah come to mind aswell.
