He's 7 foot. Most people after a few years knew he was 7 foot. As someone said, he didn't want to play C so he listed himself as 6'11"

From this photo, it seems Duncan is as tall as KG's eye level.

So KG should be at least 2 inches taller?

I'd suspect 6'11 is about right, although it could be the measurement from when he was 19 and he grew a little more after that. Duncan could very well just be 6'10 in shoes, and he's slouching and leaning his head forward and that picture.

I think he might have been 6' 11" at one point it seemed like he grew an inch or two.

Kevin Garnett is famously 6'13". That is to say, he's about 7'1" but refuses to let anyone list him as over 7' because he doesn't want to be a Center and have his playstyle changed.

It's a product of the era he came from. If someone found a 7' shooting guard today, people would think it's amazing. "He moves like a guard, can stroke it and is 7' tall. Wow."

If someone found a 7' guard 20 years ago, they'd say "Get your skinny ass back down onto the block where you belong."
