This is an insult to Nash's mediocre at best defense.

With all due respect to Harden's offensive skills he's not even close to Nash.

True, and you could at least make him try on defense.

Harden is right though, he does have a "little bit of Nash" in him. Which also means there's a lot of Steve's game that he doesn't have.

Was expecting something more juicy when I saw the title.

Nash was a sieve regardless it wasn't an effort issue, Harden's matador D is inexcusable because he has all the tools and was actually engaged on the ball coming off the bench for OKC and during his MVP candidate season had a respectable opponent DFG% on the perimeter. He failed to follow up and regressed on the other end this year. Harden isn't saying that he is a floor general on par with Nash, they have completely different skillsets, Nash was never close to the high volume offensive juggernaut Harden is despite many hypothesizign that Nash could go for 30 any night if he wanted. Harden is saying that he also never had to step outside his comfort zone due to his prolific free throw rate/isolation prowess.

Oh yeah, Harden could obviously be a much better defender and has shown he can be an adequate defender in the past. Nash wasn't a good defender but it wasn't for lack of effort.

Harden's a headcase who makes teammates worser. No a one comparison.

He said a "little bit" of Nash..and even specified WHICH little bit. I really dont see where the issue is.

This is going overboard. Harden not making an All-NBA team was a travesty, he was still historically good ofensively in his supposed d"down" year. Especially considering Klay getting the nod over him

He's a selfish Steve Nash that makes worse decisions and doesn't make his teammates better.

Of course he's no Nash, he has a bad habit of dwindling the clock forcing teammates into bad spots/ flailing but come on his supporing cast was absolute garbage and couldn't take advantage of all the goods looks from his gravity. He was 90th percentile in per possesion PnR efeciency and had an elite Assist % for a non-PG comparable to Bron and is actually a technically gifted passer
