He can sit all he wants after they cut him because he's just not that good.

Kaep trying to be stand against oppression, while wearing a Fidel Castro shirt..ahh the irony. I've supported Kaep from day one, but this is him just trying to stay relevant in the football world.

I hate to say it but this honestly looks like a stunt that Kap is pulling. He's been garbage on the field so he's doing this crap so that in case he gets cut by the Niners due to being so awful, he can blame him being cut on this whole thing.

Even Niners fans on their forums said the same thing.

Its pretty smart on Kap's part.

If this is true, it's only smart in his own mind. Everyone knows that people who can play get a much longer leash when it comes to rocking the boat. This is really a pretty minor thing in comparison to, say, cold cocking your fiance or having faced mutiple rape allegations. If I'm another team and they cut a guy over this, that just affirms that the guy is damaged goods and isn't worth trying to fix.

Bet he gets traded to Denver now that Sanchez got traded to Dallas. Denver is all about people's freedom to do what they want.

Was it around 9/11 that the national anthem became synonymous with the military only?

It seem like it's military people and vets who are most outraged by this. To me the national anthem encompasses all of America, not just the military portion. Kaep disagrees with some things about America so he decided to protest. Say what you want about Kaepernick but he DID draw attention to his issue by doing this.

I'm not gonna go as far as applaud him because I still believe the good in America still outweigh's the bad ,but he doesn't deserve the hate he's getting.

He should protest until the 1st game in season, then stop doing it. He made his point. And awareness has been achieved. Because if he is going to protest until there is no more racism and oppression, well that aint happenin.

There's standing up for a cause and being an idiot...I get being upset with America right now, hell I am, too...but his fake *** stand followed by wearing a Fidel shirt is a **** joke

Guy lost all respect from me...I know you said it encompasses all of America and I agree, but also I have 3 friends who fought and died in the Middle East, and I still find it disrespectful to them to do this even though it is about all of America

There's other ways to get your message out and I don't agree with this one

Well they were trying to trade for him at one point I think. Not sure who their backup is now. Did you ask this because he won't stand up and look at the flag? A lot of people have made certain political statements in sports like that, Mahmoud Abdul Rauf did it for the Nuggets. Muhammad Ali refused to go to war when drafted and fled the country and is a hero. I'm sure there are more.

niners fans have been looking to get rid of him long before this, no fanbase would want a back up with 16 million dollar cap hit. he went up a notch in my book after this but a niner fan in me too strong to fully applaud him.

I guess I didn't. I guess they are in talks with Dallas to trade him though, among other teams.
