2016 Houston Rockets Pre-Season Game Thread

Post#1 » by jwise44 » Tue Oct 4, 2016 10:22 pm

With lack of activity should we just put everything about the games in the preseason thread?

Edit - Works for me, bro! - Mr. E, Oct. 5 2016

I really wanted to get tickets to this game even though it's preseason, but alas work gets in the way...may not even make it home till halftime or later

Please tell me JVG is going to be calling this game!

Didn't get to see them play the Sharks so I am looking forward to watching some of this one and seeing some of the new faces.

I like the way the key looks now with the red and black, but the court still needs some mustard.

I'm getting way to excited about these Rockets. They look so damn good.

I'm also dying because the Sharks were better than the Knicks lol

Harden is ready for the season, he looked damn good out there in the first half.

If they can stay healthy they should be really entertaining to watch, at least offensively. Would love to see a healthy Dream Crowe in this offense.

Looked like they were actually enjoying themselves out there, unlike last season.

Anyone else impressed with Nene? I thought dude was washed up and done, but I think he'll have an important role off the bench.

The Knicks are the only team that played tonight. Houston was not present, nor did they win.

Harden was not spectacular and the Rockets were not fun to watch.

Carry on.

Sorry, was watching ESPN for some reason.

This works for me! Hopefully activity will pick up as the season gets closer. I was not able to see last night's game, but it sounds like it was an explosion of offense.

I only got to watch from halftime while I was at the gym but it was a fun game to watch

I am impressed with nene, wasn't really for the signing but if he stays healthy he is going to be a beast

One thing I noticed the past two games, Gordon and Ryno are shooting up about a foot past the three point line and hitting. It appears this something MDA wants them to do and if they can keep hitting from that far out its going to create even more spacing for Harden to work. I think this team is going to be very good on offense. Best in the league besides the Warriors

Well, they certainly have the range, so that is very good to hear. That should also help out guys like Brewer who likes to cut and Capela; however, I can see 3-second violations being a problem for Capela early on. Fortunately he's shown that he can adapt.

Another thing I like is Anderson and Gordon both can put the ball on the floor and create their own shots
Nene CAN catch the passes. Bounce and lob passes. Howard can't catch bounce pass. Capela just aren't very good at catching

So finally got around to watching the game and the offense looks great and defense is as bad as expected but if you can out score them the f it.
Couple things I notice Kj can jump through the roof and Nene looks like he dropped a lot of weight.
