So, although it is evident that defense is a glaring issue. That third quarter is why we lost and the starters didn't play a lot in that quarter at all. Welcome to preseason. All we've learned thus far is we have the potential to be a fun offensive team that will struggle if our two best players aren't on the floor. Go figure lol
Btw, Farrell was didn't travel with the team. I wonder if the Nets are planning on keeping him. It's a little odd he would be told to stay back along with Brook if everyone is auditioning for the same spot.

Agree with this...At some point, you have to get your key guys some minutes together to prepare for the season..I disagree with waiting until the season starts.
Rest a few of the guys in the bubble that played yesterday and play the one that we didn't see like Yogi, Lopez, Foye, Gutierrez......But we need to see Lin and Lopez go 25+ on tomorrow.
Rest Booker, Whitehead, Bennett, RHJ, Vasquez.....Start Lin/Bogs/Harris/Scola/Lopez
I even think Kenny should try to win this game since the Celtics will be the team that you will open the season with...so you want to prove you can play against them...Plenty of other team have played their main guys 30..I'd play Lin/Lopez 30 if it's close..just to get them ready for the load.
dont rest vasquez and bennett, vasquez needs minutes, looks rusty as heck, and bennett needs playing time and minutes.
im ok with resting whitehead, rondae, or booker, hamilton needs rest too.

Personally, I don't think we need to really start going with the expected regular season rotation until the last 2 preseason games.
The Nets are still in tryout mode to see who is going to make it and who's not going to make it.
Pre-season games don't count towards our regular season record (and therefore consequently our draft position) so there's no real need to show urgency right now.

id rather give minutes to the unkown and get an idea how they fit. lopez and lin have 82 games to get their chemistry down
