First off, I'm not saying anything is wrong our current v-necks, but after reading that the team will be wearing the '80's throwback jerseys for select games, it is something I wanted to talk to the community about.

In terms of our current jerseys: if it isn't broken, then don't fix it. However, I have always loved the '80's jerseys that they wore during showtime. Aesthetically it has always looked very pleasing to me. I remember early in the '07/'08 season, the team brought them out against the Celtics. Remember? With the short shorts and DFish looking extra leggy like the green M & M. They reverted back to their usual-lengthed shorts at half-time. It just didn't look right - mostly due to the fact that the jerseys themselves were too big in correlation with the shorts.

ANYWAYS, as excited I am to see them on the court this year, I wanted to ask you guys about the current state of our jerseys.
They're clean and already an instant classic, especially winning five titles in the ensembles. I'm glad that we are lucky enough to be fans of a team that doesn't perpetually dish out new ugly jerseys every other year, like some teams.
Now I know that we switched to the new v-neck jerseys during the inauguration of STAPLES - due in part to the new identity and players.
Now, it probably won't happen for the foreseeable future, but do you think that the Lakers will entertain the idea of altering their jerseys, especially with this new identity post-Kobe?
Again, I like our jerseys and think they're already established as one of the cleanest in the leagues and I have no gripes about them - they're modern, simple, and already iconic. I just have always like the collared showtime themed jerseys.
If anything, what are your favorite jerseys that the Lakers have brought out and would you okay with the team making any alterations or changes in that department?
