BBALLBreakDown: Larry Nance Jr.

This is some awesome stuff. If/when he gains some confidence in his shot, he can be a game changer for this team both as a PF and more importantly as a small ball center in a line up that can switch every position on defense.

Great recap of those little things he brings to the table. His intangibles are special.

It was exciting to see D'Angelo/Clarkson/Ingram/Randle/Nance out there for a few minutes last night.

Nance and Clarkson both do so many of the little things.

Nance needs to get 24+ mins a game this year. Which is part of the reason people were so mad about the mozgov/deng signings, because they would eat into nances playing time.

So excited to see nance play and do everything.
Right place right time, every time
Doesn't need to ball on offense to be effective

Perfect 5th best player on your team.
USA Celtics in full effect. Amazing chemistry building experience right there for the main core of the team

Proceeds to finish 7th and shames the entire nation!

Nance has to show his body can handle an 82 game season before you refuse to sign impact free agents on his behalf. The team needed consistency. He's still recovering from his college knee injury.

He'll get there, it's just going to take time. And once Deng and Mozgov are on the second half of their contracts our youngins will be ready to take the reins without the training wheels.

Nance is the Laker's best defensive player. He's a game changer. He definitely needs to improve his free throws and knock down a few open shots but I think he deserves 30 minutes a game

Nance can nearly guard all 5 positions on the floor. He can switch on everything.

The only knock on nance in the first game is that passed up a few open 3 point shots that he should have taken (they were open, and in rythem)

But, if the worse thing you do on the court is make an extra pass to a better 3 point shooter. That's fine.

He's athleticism allows him to contest every rebound on the offensive end, and allows him to tap it back out.

With Russell, Clarkson, and Randle all certainly "shooters/scorers" and Ingram looking be be a spacer for now. Nance makes perfect sense as that 5th guy to clean up and do everything.

I don't see how nance can squeeze into the starting lineup yet. But he needs to play, and play with the rest of the young core

Hey guys, I'm just wondering how much do you guys value Larry Nance Jr.? Would you guys trade him for a straight up shooter like Bojan from the Nets?

No. Bojan isn't even a necessity for us, a strong defensive minded wing is more our requirement but even so I'd rather look for those in free agency than trade a player on a rookie contract, especially with Nance's upside and fit being perfect for us.
