How Good Are We Without Reggie?

Post#1 » by ElectricMayhem » Wed Nov 2, 2016 4:28 am

We are 3-1 this year, but so far we haven't really been tested much. We got demolished by one of the Eastern Conference's top teams, dominated a pair of teams that aren't doing anything this year in Orlando and Milwaukee, and tonight beat NYK - a playoff hopeful (although I don't see them getting in).

Outside of the Toronto game, we have looked great. There were some frustrating aspects in the Knicks game, but we were still solid. Overall, if we had to play the year without Reggie, what do you think our prospects would be?

I would not, as I am not, counting the Raptors game. First game of the year, first game without Reggie, e.t.c.

The Pistons without Reggie are still a damn good team, without a proven finisher.

Just how good remains to be seen. Give it ten games.

Need to see how we play on the road still, hard to say.

Just OK. It's great to get wins, but ORL, MIL, and NYK are not playoff teams.

I said slightly better than average, but we'll know by the end of the west coast trip.

I say only Cavs/Warriors are better. Cuz, if you don't shoot for the top, then you may as well quit trying.

If you compete each night in the nba, you can hover around 0.500.

Without our floor general/closer we're a scrappy .500 team. We'll most likely struggle on the road a bit but do fairly well at home.

Well so far we are currently sitting at 4th in the East which puts us at good enough for homecourt. There is your answer. Anything beyond that is speculation.

Milwaukee and Orlando are really good match-ups...for us. Knicks are a mess and obviously Toronto is better then us. If we had to go the whole season without Reggie, we'd be right around .500. This early into the season, weird things happen.

Think we're an 8, maybe 7 seed without Reggie. 4th seed/home court with.

We're good enough to spank lottery teams, and be competitive against playoff teams. Probably not a threat to championship caliber teams, but we probably aren't with Reggie.

Honestly, if we had to play out the year with Ish and Beno as our PG's, I'd be perfectly fine. They're both pretty talented.

Without Reggie, if we had to go the whole year without I think we would keep the same record as last year, but with Reggie that puts us over the top.
