Horford is out. This is literally the textbook definition of a game where a Jurkic line, or them just individually, could do serious damage.
Zeller and Johnson are way too small for Jokic-Nurkic. Nuggets should definitely think about running the offense 80% of the time through the big men, at least at the beginning to get some rhythm and start off with some momentum after the start to lasts night game.

Surprising victory on the 2nd of a B2B, Malone must've done some kinda butt-chewing !

After 4 games were 2-2 on the 5-game road trip, most thought we'd go 0-5, 1-4 at best....win against MEM would be HUGE, plus enhance our draft pick !!

So, Mudiay's outburst of 30/2/8...glimpse of things to come.....or aberration ??

Malone said he'd change the starting lineup. OK, maybe a good idea, maybe not. He's the head coach, not me. But starting Harris instead of Murray was not a big shake-up. Was I the only one half expecting Jokic or Nurkic to be replaced by Faried? Or maybe Nelson instead of Mudiay (not likely but ...)?
What's the Nuggets' best lock-down defensive lineup? Nurkic, Arthur, Chandler, Harris, plus1more? Those four might be our best one-on-one defenders; then toss Jokic in there for his team defense? Maybe? Mudiay has the physical attributes, but his defense is still developing (it seems to me). Still hate Jokic's tendency to grab a guy to stop a fast break. It works in Euro-ball but it's a bad habit for NBA bigs.
This was easily the Nuggets best game of the year, especially the first half.
Sure does make the second half easier to play!
First time the Nuggets' game was impressive in 2016. Bottle this game and open it for each game the rest of this year!!!

I think he started 9/10 in the first and finished 11/18. Aberration....albeit one that deserves credit. If he can build on this and get his shooting up to .375-.400 we'll be on a better track. Also need the assists to bump up from 3 a game.
All that said he responded after a poor outing and played really well, that's great to see.

Maybe cut his turnovers down too?

I didn't want to pile on, Skywalker doesn't like that...and the TO's I can stomach if he's producing offense

Who cares about Skywalker? He's a big boy, he can deal with it or leap over the top of all the crap we can shovel!!!
