Brandon Jennings isn't #55 but is #3

I don't really expect Warren to start if he plays, but it would be nice to see him back with the starters

From Coro:

But just as Jeff Hornacek did not forget how to coach after being the 2013-14 NBA Coach of the Year runner-up, the New York Knicks did not forget about what he did in Phoenix. The Knicks are better off for it after hiring Hornacek this summer for more than twice his Suns salary. New York takes a 14-10 record under Hornacek into a Tuesday night game at Phoenix, where fans favored him as a Suns player for more than five years and mostly understood what he faced with changing team dynamics over 2 ½ seasons as Suns coach until his Feb. 1 firing.

With veteran star Carmelo Anthony and rising star Kristaps Porzingis, the Knicks have won six of their past seven games for the sort of turnaround bliss that Hornacek and the Suns captured in 2013-14. That Suns team went 48-34, tying for the second most wins by a non-playoff team because of career years from several players, including Most Improved Player winner Goran Dragic.

Hornacek has been celebrated in New York, putting his own stamp on the Knicks offense by using pick-and-rolls, kicking up tempo and using only subtleties of Knicks President Phil Jackson’s triangle. There have been surprise contributions from rookies Willy Hernangomez and Mindaugas Kuzminskas and surprise moves, such as replacing Derrick Rose with Justin Holiday for crunch time of a game.

Read on Twitter

Brandon Jennings providing the type of play off the bench that we could use from Knight:

Leading the charge, of course, is the leader of the second unit: Brandon Jennings. Following an up-and-down season last year while recuperating from an Achilles injury, Phil Jackson took a $5 million flier on Jennings and it appears to be paying off. While earning a reputation as a score-first guard with the Bucks, the seven-year vet has transformed his game, focusing on tenacious defense and dazzling (yet often erratic) playmaking. Through the first 21 games this season, Jennings is leading the team in assists, averaging 5.2, while chipping in 1.0 steal per game.

In addition to leading the Knicks in assists, Jennings also leads the team with 1.8 deflections per game, which indicates that he is playing engaged and active defense in the passing lanes. While these statistics do not necessarily jump off the page, the veteran floor general is also posting the lowest usage rate of his career at 17.6%, down nearly 10 percent from his 2014-15 campaign with the Pistons, indicating his willingness to move the ball. Jennings also provides a faster pace than the Knicks have seen in recent years, as he (100.02) gets the team almost five more offensive possessions when he is on the floor compared to last year’s starter Jose Calderon (95.17). He has found his shooting touch recently, scoring 13 points against the Kings when starting for the injured Derrick Rose.

In this article about their second unit it sounds like Justin Holiday is playing well as a 3&D type of guy, Kyle O'Quinn giving them some nice rebounding and rookie Willy Hernangomez playing well.

Earl Watson said T.J. Warren is not ready to play. The small forward was listed as questionable for the game against New York as he works his way back from a minor head injury.

For all the drama around hornacek and the Knicks, they're 14-10 and should make the playoffs. Good for them.

I wish our team shot over 40% from 3.

Definitely looks like a game where Bender might get extended minutes, especially against Porzingis.

Well, noone was on the left side of the court. Bledsoe apologized.

Good start. We're gonna score some fastbreak points tonight.
