Faried says he called out the fans for not attending and now they attended.
I'm wondering if the fans showed up because the team has been winning.

I don't know if there was a promo. I might be able to attend games next year, but no way that's happening this year. So I haven't kept track of tickets and have had them drop me from their calling list with offers. Yeah, I used to visit now and then. ;-)

And without a doubt, last night would have been a crazy great night to be there. Try taking a group of low-income Jr. High students to a game like that; it's insanely fun and a guaranteed ulcer in just 3 hours.

I was living in one city where they had a long sell-out streak going until the press discovered they often gave away hundreds of tickets to Boys-n'Girls clubs and stuff like that plus their cheap seats were really, really cheap. The Nuggets IMO are really, really cheap in a different direction, as in, they just don't do a lot of big discounts but I've been told they are somewhat generous on occasion with charities. Not sure how true that is.

I was in attendance last night and it was far and away the best crowd I've seen all season. As far as I know, there wasn't a ticket promo or anything. I think the word of Jokic's greatness is finally spreading. Hopefully they keep coming back.

Well the NFL season ends around this time of year... maybe that affects it?

Part of it is that the NfL season is over in Denver, but they did host a few small high schools cheerleader teams that performed prior to the game. My niece was one of them, and I know my sister in law had several family members with them last night.

Overall I think the strongest factor is Jokic, even on 104.3 the fan a couple of their guys have started to talk about how much fun it is to watch the Nuggets especially with Jokic running the offense.

I'm gonna say Jokic becoming a star is the main reason, but the team is playing good basketball in January. This team is not that far away from being competitive every single night (at least talent wise).
