Okay, first off I'm sure Sacramento fans will hate this proposal. Sacramento's pick this year belongs to Chicago if they finish outside of the bottom 10. If they finish inside the bottom 10, Philadelphia can swap picks instead. Right now Philly (17-29) has 2 less wins than Sac (19-28), but especially with Gay's injury and Philly's recent success this may change meaning that even if they keep the pick, it might not be that good. While I get that to keep the pick Sac fans don't want to push for the playoffs, I think pushing for the playoffs is something the owners would look into.
The Bucks (21-26) are in about the same position as Sacramento for this season. They could push for the playoffs as Charlotte (23-25) and the Bulls (24-25) are not out of reach. That said the Bucks have been playing absolutely horrible the last few weeks and our defense has been malfunctioning for quite a while. Middleton might come back by the ASB and could resourge this team, but many Bucks fans are on board with tanking this year since a top 5 pick is not out of reach and could be the last time the Bucks can add a high draft pick. In this trade the Bucks would send out players that have been adding wins to the Bucks roster while getting dead cap and assets in return.

Milwaukee out: Monroe, Beasley
Milwaukee in: Gay, WCS, '18 SAC 1st pick swap, better of '18 POR/SAC 2nd

Sacramento out: Gay, WCS, '18 SAC 1st pick swap, better of '18 POR/SAC 2nd
Sacramento in: Monroe, Beasley

Gay is out for this season and probably big parts of next season. That is why he's most likely going to opt into his last year. Sacramento clears his salary and get Beasley as a replacement, who has been a great scorer for the Bucks and Rockets. Monroe has been tremendous for the Bucks this season and would definately help Sacramento out. He could occupy the same role he's doing with the Bucks right now, coming for the bench but playing starter minutes.
The Bucks trade their winning players and get assets in return.

The logic is faulty. Monroe wouldn't play starter minutes in Sac. He plays the same position as their best player, and even if you wanted to play Cousins and Monroe together, it would be a terrible pairing. Seems like an easy no for the Kings.

Man this is terrible. Beasley/Monroe are 2 players we don't want so we give up WCS and screw ourselves with another pick.

I wouldn't do this trade without the pick swap included, wcs is clearly more valuable than that whole package. If you want wcs whose been playing much better as of late the convo starts at brogdan.

Not to upset the mods because this isn't me saying "I counter with" but to my perspective it would be like me saying the bucks should push for the playoffs we will give you Afflalo/Casspi for Brogdan and rights to swap for 2018 pick.

I say that because you aren't taking into account team fit nor future. We wouldn't want to pay Monroe next year, we wouldn't even want Beasley on the roster. It just makes no sense.

Philly had rights to swap last season and gets those rights again this season... It's my understanding the swap was only for two years.

As for the trade this is really really bad. You're basically stealing WCS and getting pick rights for two guys that aren't in Milwaukee 's long term plans. This deal would be amazing for the Bucks but it'll never happen.

One last point: THE KINGS ARE A BETTER TEAM WITHOUT RUDY GAY.

Kings have no need for Monroe. Monroe's value is neutral at best on his current contract (and I'm dubious of that). Whatever WCS' trade value is, it's positive. Kings add a pick? Computation error - level 3.

I would say the Brogdon has more value than either

Brogdon is a 24 year old rookie whose averaging 9/4 in 25mpg. The advanced stats don't love him either. Per 36 of 13/6.

WCS is a 23 year old whose got his minutes cut in efforts to compete immediately, hes played much better/more the last few weeks and is showing his worth. Per36 of 14.5/7.

Id think the argument could be made that depending on position of need they have pretty similar value. I'd tend to go with WCS because hes a shot blocker and rim protector. Hes been playing excellent P&R offense lately and if he keeps that up and gets stronger hes exactly what most teams are looking for up front.

Then again I may prefer WCS because im a Kings fan and have had more time to watch him flash. Same with you and Brogdan.

Doesn't change my point.
