Knicks president Phil Jackson came out to try to calm down Oakley, who was yelling about Dolan and telling security he wasn't going to move as they handcuffed him outside the tunnel leading to the court.At one point Oakley was on the ground surrounded by police and Garden security.

I'm pretty sure Oakley is sober here too because he works with addicts (unless he fell off). So I'm seeing and hearing he was barking at Dolan. If the Knicks as a organization did him dirty here (we don't know what happened to escalate this), the Knicks look pretty bad here. He's a legend in New York. That would be like one of our favorite players that played here, having this happen in the Palace.

Oakley blamed one of McInnis’ coaches at the time, Alvin Gentry, for telling reporters the story.

Oak is old school. For you young kids Oakley is the way many kids were growing up back in the day. I certainly is a dinosaur from an era that some of todays kids certainly wouldn't have survived.

Charles Oakley is like Rick Mahorn without the sense of humor. Can you imagine Tom Gores not shaking Mahorn's hand? What a trainwreck of a franchise.

First of all, Dolan is one of the worst owners in the NBA. I think that is an undisputed fact.

I'm sure Oakley let's Dolan know about this undisputed fact, which is unpleasant for Dolan to hear.

And so Dolan tries to have Oakley removed, and Oakley doesn't let anyone touch him. I'd be doing the same thing he did.

It's bull if these are really assault charges.

So THAT'S what happened with him and McGinnis. I thought that was over a gambling debt this whole time. Question is, did he slap the chick too?
