The "franchise" player cant even see the floor at the end of close games because he cant hit a FT(Or play anything that resembles defense). So his ONE AND ONLY strength, rebounding, cant be utilized at the end of games because of this and this is twice now VS BOS that a late rebound chance was missed that put the nail in the coffin.

He is just too big of a liability in too many areas.

the unfortunate thing about being the best FT shoot team without him is we can't get there without him either, no one consistently gets to the line on this team. Pair that with the fact we can't shoot 3's it results in a terrible offense.

I feel like trading Drummond will be impossible. Who would be willing to take on that contract AND offer any value in return? We will be stuck in mediocrity with our "franchise player" on the bench in key moments of big games. We're better off cutting our losses and selling him to the highest bidder.

The idea that nobody wants dre is pretty laughable. Toronto was willing to give up as starting center and 1st.

I don't think "nobody wants Dre" is accurate. Almost everyteam in the NBA wants him. So what we wanted for him was above what everyone wanted to pay, but we could have easily made a deal if we chose to.

A starting center and a first isn't a horrible deal, it just needs to be a solid center and a mid teen pick at worst. Toronto's first gets pretty close to a 2nd so it isn't worth downgrading our center position for that.

So its incredibly obvious, especially when we've been in so many close games, and the fact that any coach can easily get Dre out of the game if they want to by committing to foul him. Like Stan has said, even in the final two minutes its a risk and they have to change their offense because they can even allow Dre to set a pick or else he's part of the play and they can foul him.

I definitely agree that it costs us games, including last year, but at least last year he was dominating more frequently. When he's dropping 20 and 20 it's a little easier to tolerate the poor free throws.
