No Jokic? Maybe no Gallinari? Against a very good Wizards team? Doesn't sound like a good opportunity! Then again, can anyone predict the Nuggets this year?

They need to keep the ball out of Barton's hands

If I remember correctly he used to be a very good spot up 3 pt shooter, but for some reason these last couple of years he does not seem to think he should be a spot up shooter anymore.

Chandler's 3pt shooting by season, he's been up & down. His first full year in Denver was his best:

.300
.328
.267
.349
.259 - Split NY/Denver
.413
.348
.342
.341 - This year

Well, I really didn't expect this to be a win, WAS clearly showed they were the better team.

Went to the game, seemed like a real lack of effort until Murray caught fire late. Cool to get to sit next to the entry while Morris got kicked out. Not sure why he stayed on the floor for so long trying to argue, fairly clear play, very Draymond-like.

With Jokic, Gallo, and Faried all out I expected last night to be a loss but the whole game does not sit well with me even this morning.

Nelson was a huge problem, throughout the 1st half and early 2nd half he was terrible. I was really happy to see Murray come in and with Harris actually make the game competitive, and finish the game at PG. I said after the last game that it was time for Nelson to fake his year ending injury again this year, he is clearly getting outplayed by Murray and last night when Mudiay had the ball in his hands the offense and defense both seemed to work better than it did with Nelson.

Barton is not a PG, and cost us the lead at the end of the 1st quarter. It is sad the last 3-4 minutes Mudiay was in the game he got the offense going and it looked decent, but when Barton had his 7 or 8 possessions in a row just prior to that the Wizards erased the lead and built their own lead and our offense looked terrible. Murray or Mudiay should be controlling the ball on the court with Barton. I hate when Barton brings the ball up and stands at the top of the key dribbling the air out of the ball.

I agree with DAfan, last night there was a lack of effort from several of the players, and I think that is what bugs me about many of the loses especially last night. Melo's rookie year came up the other day in another thread, and you know the thing about that team and the team even the year before under coach Buzz was that you never questioned the effort of the guys who were getting minutes. That has been a constant question with several of these veterans, it is like they decide before the game whether it is going to be a win or loss and than decide how hard to try. It has been a problem under both Shaw and Malone, and points to both the coaching and the players as being a problem.

Totally agree! Name one team sport where true teamwork & more effort cannot overcome more skill?
