Game 74: Pistons (34-39) @ Knicks (27-46) - 7:30 PM EST

Post#1 » by whitehops » Mon Mar 27, 2017 4:32 am

just as i was all ready for the pistons to move on to the draft, we're STILL only a game away from making playoffs.

that said, if we play anything close to the way we've played lately then there's no point in making the playoffs. this is the start of a tough stretch coming up with four games in five nights...

go pistons, whatever that means to you!

The other thing is, Boston has tied Cleveland for the best record in the East right now and has played quite a bit better than them since the all-star break so I think Boston has got to be the favorites to get the #1 seed in the East right now with Cleveland still missing Love and valuing rest over seeding down the stretch. I would best $$ on Boston getting the #1 seed which makes the #8 seed even more desirable but we have been so awful lately I can't see us winning 6 of 9 down the stretch to make it into the playoffs and I can't see Miami and Chicago both having all out collapses down the stretch (maybe one but not both).

We're getting close to a top 10 pick, why ruin that now?

Just got offered free tickets to the game tonight, so now I'll be in attendance. Wasn't gonna spend money to see these two teams, but for free? Yeah I'll go root on the Pistons

Since we're still paying Josh Smith, let's fly him back from China and finish off the season for us. We need the tank commander!

Thanks, I'm excited. Been to a concert at MSG and a Michigan game at Barclays, but this will be my first basketball game at the Garden.
It's funny my friend (Knicks fan) and I were just talking today about going, but both agreed that $40 + fees (cheapest on stubhub) was too much to pay for Knicks vs Pistons... then his roommate messaged him that he had two extra tickets.

Had I known ahead of time I'd have brought some Detroit gear to work, oh well.
