Looking at the future: Jabari Parker

Post#1 » by atlantabbq99 » Tue Jul 18, 2017 12:56 pm

With the recent draft of Prince and Collins, Derrick Favors becomes the obvious free agent target for the Hawks in 2018.

With the recent signs and trade, it really does seem like Schlenk is making space to throw a near max contact to a free agent in 2018.

On paper, Jabari's game seems to fit into what coach Budz likes to do. Should the Hawks consider out bidding the Bucks for Jabari next summer?

Depends on how he comes back from injury. I tend to doubt it'd take an overpay to get him from MIL. I could see them turning the page considering all the rumors he was allegedly a locker issue last season prior to getting hurt.

Jabari will be a restricted free agent so the Bucks can match any offer. Two ACLs is so much of a risk factor for so much money. From the way this offseason has gone, I think shorter contracts are the order of the day.
