Are we the top team in east behind Cleveland again? (Boston obviously worse than us)

You needed another category above 50.... like a 50-54 and 55+..... then it would have been a harder decision.

50's in the bag. Starters are lit and the bench is primed. Have some goddam faith, man!

How? The conference as a whole got worse. We also had a down year last year with 50 wins due to injuries etc. I can't see us dropping again. If anything, assuming everyone is healthy, they should improve upon 50. I'd say 50-52 is being conservative IMO.

50+

1. The team is better than the team last year pre trades AND after the trades but with Lowry out.
2. The East is trash. And the Raptors got a great non-division East schedule.

There should have been 50-54 and 55+ tiers.

The East is so bad and there are going to be a lot of free wins. Hawks, Bulls and Pacers are dumpster fires and those games will be less competitive than last year. Bucks will take a step up during the regular season, but on balance, having Lowry-Demar-Ibaka (and to a lesser extent Miles) together from training camp will be big for cohesiveness.

Add in modest gains from some of the young guns (especially Powell, Poeltl and Siakam - to be expected while on the upwards part of their career curves) and I think we're looking at 53 wins.

All depends on the bench. I think our starting lineup will be our best yet with a full year of Ibaka and Norm (as long as Casey starts him). If Wright/FVV can run the back up pg mins I think we easily get to 50 wins and should push for 55+ considering how weak the conference is. On top of all the tankers Bos and Clev may be in complete shambles.

54 wins, assuming Lowry, Derozan and Ibaka play 70 or more games together collectively. They rarely played together in the regular season at all last year and the biggest single reason why we were down in the standings last year had more to do with Lowry only being available for 60 regular season games than anything else.

I said 56 earlier in the summer but I'm dropping it down a couple more. 54 wins. I think our unproven bench will surprise and I expect a very solid year from the Norman Powell/CJ Miles timeshare over 48 minutes at SF, along with Anunoby giving us some solid minutes later on in the year defensively.

47 wins

The bottom tier teams are a lot better than last season. I'd expect surprise losses against the Nets, 76ers, Suns etc. The overall team depth also took a hit.

The X-Factor this season is how the younger guys do - Delon, Siakum, Poeltl, Anonuby

How are the Suns and Nets a lot better? The Sixers are better, but *when* Embiid gets hurt they are gonna be bad.

And even if they are, the Bulls, Hawks and Pacers are much worse.

With the Suns, Lakers, Kings, Nets, Bulls, Hawks, Pacers, Magic and Knicks, the bottom of the league is as bad as ever.

The Raps are a high variance team, along with the conference, so I think you could make a legitimate case for a wide variety of W totals.
