OKC goes all-in with NOP
NO trades:
D. Cousins and Solomon Hill
NO gets:
Steven Adams, Kyle Singler and draft picks
Reason: They ONLY entertain this idea if they underachieve before the deadline. Get Adams which fits with AD and gets Hill off their hands.
OKC trades:
Steven Adams, Kyle Singler and draft picks
OKC receives:
D. Cousins and Solomon Hill
Reason: Go ALL-IN even if the get that Hill's contract. It might be bad if they all opt out because you will only have that Hill's contract but why not.

Re: OKC goes all-in with NOP
We would either eat the Warriors alive or there would be brawls in the lockerroom.
I'm ready.
PS: We have no picks until 2022.

Re: OKC goes all-in with NOP
I think it takes at least one decent first round pick...not sure OKC has that? could be interesting for NO though if OKC adds a bit of value.
From OKC POV, I think Adams is a great fit and not sure its a wise move?

Re: OKC goes all-in with NOP
The best package OKC could put together wouldn't do it, imo. And I like Adams as a low usage tough defender on this team.
Best package:
Adams, Ferguson, Grant, Dakari, 2020 OKC 1st (reverse protected 5-19)

Re: OKC goes all-in with NOP
Granted Thunder will already have their hands full trying to share one ball between Westbrook, George and Melo I think they are a better team with Adams. He can do all the dirty work on the interior, play hard defense, set screens, rebound and doesn't need the ball much to be effective. Cousins has the ability to be this type of player but I don't think he has the mentality and after not getting the ball much he is likely to throw a hissy fit and not even run back on defense or something. Also, when factoring in their contract situations I think it makes sense to just keep Adams. Thunder should be trying to bolster their bench not add another star.

Thunder don't have a fist for a long time. This doesn't make sense for NO

I have 0 interest in Cousins at all. Too many flags.

Re: OKC goes all-in with NOP
Is Steven Adams even a trade asset? He's a nice enough center and all, but not worth anywhere close to $100M in today's environment. OKC is about as all in as they can get right now (minus a Dwade type signing).

Not to mention the things he does best are just not needed. Adams is a better defender, OKC has Westbrook, Melo, George to handle the scoring load. Why go out and get another me first guy? OKC should be concerned with adding shooters and defenders at this point, not Demarcus Cousins. This is coming from one of the biggest DMC fans, but the fit is just horrid.

Re: OKC goes all-in with NOP
Definitely not for the Thunder. Adams is a better fit with this team than Cousins. Cousins at this point has lost all benefit of the doubt, no contender should take him unless they really don't mind it being a yolo move
