Is this board dead during regular season?

New member where is talk about preseason. Why no game topics for first 3 games?
All I find is old people fighting in politics topic and old stuff

That's because the Wiz RealGM board IS all old people bickering :lol:

I've been here since ~2008 (on a previous name) but it's definitely slowed down around these parts.
You probably wanna check out the Bulletsforever or the reddit wash wizards forum

Welcome. Start a game thread, new blood! I've been busy and only caught one of the preseason games. Politics thread is a distraction that will surely decline during season. Promise I'll be more involved as the season gets closer.

Speaking of which, are we using the existing preseason prediction thread, or should we start a new one to compile everyone's prediction?

I see you're a ghost so if it's dead you want, the offseason is the time you are looking for. It gets a bit more traffic during the regular season; probably a lot more if we actually look like contenders rather than a treadmill team.

I've forced myself to watch through portions of the first three preseason games, but they're generally pretty meaningless, especially since Grunfeld has spent so much time trading away first and second rounders the past few years that there's really not much to look forward to.

Folks around here tend to get more involved once the real season starts, and with bulletsforever and reddit's formats being tough to follow, this board to me is still one of the best places to keep up with the team.

Preseason tends to be a bit underwhelming to begin with, an unimaginative GM makes it even worse. The game threads tend to attract a fair amount of interest during the season.

Wow...i kinda disagree with yall...but i might have just grew into being the old person bickering...but I love the board. It has been dead but not as dead as many of the other realGM boards. Start some threads and you will see people that are lurking but not talking cause there is nothing going on in our offseason. Seriously...none of our players got in trouble, they just worked out and we resigned our guys...yawwwwwnnnnn...it gets hot around here when the season starts.

the reddit wizards page is good for a few funny memes only. 95% casual fans that have no idea what they are talking about.

I mean, some dude posted an Oubre+Mahinmi for Enes Kanter trade proposal the other day

I think overall message board use is in decline. I think the main cause is an evolution the way people communicate. Unfortunately I don't think a good replacement has really been created. Social media interactions really aren't quite the same. Google failed miserably at the circle/group concept. Facebook has groups, but they don't tend to really create connections the way a message board or some other "semi-closed" digital community does.

Yeah our board is fine. We fight- we cry - we debate but we mostly just have fun.
