Days shaping up like we can move up to the 7th pick today... Cleveland (two top 4 picks), Colts and Bucs all don't need a QB but one could take Barkley there.

If we can wind up with a top end pass rusher or a bounty from a team looking to pick a QB it would be ideal.

What makes you think Cleveland won't consider a QB at 1 or 4?

I hope Pace does not over reach for a WR with our 8th pick trade down or draft a stud DL or OT

They're only going to use one of those picks on a QB. Not both...most likely :P

Right now there are four teams that could use a quarterback that pick ahead of us. Rosen, Darnold, Jackson, Allen and Mayfield are all candidates to be picked ahead of us.

Top non-QBs:
Barkley
Chubb
Key
Williams
McGlinchey
Ridley
Nelson
Jackson

We're in good shape

Adding to your post.... There could always be a 5th team who jumps us to pick that 5th QB

Arden Key's tape this season is not impressive at all. Maybe the combine changes my mind but I'm leaning towards passing on him at #8.

Buffalo, Washington and Arizona could also be looking for a new starting QB.

Not all of these teams will get their guy in round 1 of this draft. Tyrod Taylor, Alex Smith and Kirk Cousins could all become available. There are also a couple stopgap guys like Cutler, Bradford, and McCown who will be available.

7 teams, 5 QBs in the draft who could be viewed as starters, 3 starters through trades or free agency, and 3 solid stopgap guys (not including Glennon).

If Chubb is there take him. If not trade back to late teens and pick up a 2nd and 3rd.

Take one of the ND Oline if they fall or Ridley WR or Josh Jackson CB.

Id like 4 picks in the first 3 rounds. WR DE/OLB CB Oline

ND o-line should both go top 14.

I like staying at #8 and drafting a stud...and I'd consider trading UP for Bradley Chubb

Umm... So I stumbled upon Lorenzo Carter tonight. He looks like a stronger Floyd (College). Check out his tape going against the highly praises N.D. o-line. Whoa buddy!

6'6 245 lbs with speed and power. To compare Floyd was 6'4 230lbs coming out of Georgia.

Yeah he doesnt have Floyd's burst off the ball but everything else lines up fairly well. ...and for the record Carter's burst is good...just not elite like Floyd.

Ridley is very polished but the Bears would be foolish to draft him or any other WR at #8. The value just isnt there. OL/ DE/ and Edge positions are tiers above WR at #8. Hell even MLB has more value.
