Most likely player to be traded this offseason?

Most likely player to be traded this offseason?

whether to initiate a rebuild
cash-in on value
get under lux tax
add more picks
purge bad contract
rid lockerroom cancer

who will be 1st to get moved? not who you want to get moved, but who you believe it will be.

i voted for lamb, as i believe he holds value and can be moved with many suitors, could return late 1st (couple of 2nds) or help with tax. might also open up mins for monk/bacon or draft pick.

would rather see mkg get moved though

We can't let Borrego get his start as a head coach with Dwight on the team. He has to either be traded or bought out.

I just want us to keep Kemba and Monk long-term and somehow get something for MKG and Dwight.

So I guess what I'm saying is look for Kemba and Monk to get traded

Dwight then Kemba.

After that is probably a tossup between MKG and Marv

I agree that Lamb is the easiest player for us to move (after Kemba of course, but I wouldn't say trading him is easy). The next easiest player for us to move is probably Marvin. A lot of teams could use a wing that can reliably defend and hit shots. And Marvin is good enough to get another 2 to 3 year deal if he declines his option next year so I don't think his salary will scare teams away.

I think Dwight is the most likely because his trade fits both a rebuild and a retool. Either direction we go him being moved makes a lot of sense. After him I would say Kemba is the most likely because I just don't think the other guys we have will get much attention. It makes no sense to trade Lamb if we are retooling because he fits what we want to do and the other guys don't have enough value over their contracts to warrant much return so it may be better to keep them and try them in the new system.

Dwight prob going to go along with lamb to give us possible early 2nds and grab some wings players that can shoot and develope into solid rotational players. If dwight stays i think mkg is next.

Lamb is easy to move because he's good & cheap. He also has good chemistry with Kemba. It would be foolish for the team to trade him as a salary dump.

Dwight needs to go and his expiring contract actually might make him somewhat tradeable. However salary wise the team does need his money to come off the books next year. I honestly don't think that he gets traded unless one of two things happens:
1. The team trades someone else first as a salary dump
2. Or the team gets at least one expiring contract back in any Dwight trade.

Cody, as noted by others, is potentially tradeable. I'm not really enthused by the idea given how good the team is when he's healthy, but it just doesn't make sense to pay him what they are if he's going to only play 50-something games a year. If he is traded I kind of hope he ends up in Phoenix with their medical staff.
My picks:
2020 Draft (3rd pick) - Tyrese Haliburton, Devin Vassell, or Onyeka Okongwu
2021 Draft (11th pick) - Moses Moody

absolutely Dwight. His huge expiring paired with either #11 or our 1st next year should be able to bring in a really solid haul. Considering he's the only real expiring we have outside of Lamb (and MKG/Marvin if they opt out).

All signs point to him moving. As said, he's one of the few expirings. Kupchak probably doesn't want him around after Dwight's Lakers stint. Don't know how Borrego feels about him, we have two young centers on the roster already who deserve a total of 48 minutes and fit the team better, as well as Frank who could get spot minutes at C too. And he's older than anyone else on the team.

I think trading Dwight is more likely to happen at the trade deadline. either using his salary to help facilitate a star player trade or doing a 2 for 1 with a team that needs cap space.

Milwaukee seems like the obvious one in a Jabari S&T. That's my guess.

as for this offseason. im going with MKG and Cody. Lamb is also possible.

Dont think we trade Kemba unless he says he isn't staying and Nic is probably unmovable without trading a good asset with him.

I hope not, would rather have a 25m expiring Dwight than a 20+m Jabari who misses half the season every season.

Grizzlies (Marc Gasol) yes, but we'd have to give up picks
Magic (Vucevic/Ross) why for magic?
Mavericks (Matthews) doesn't he have option? would have to be after
Suns (Chandler/Dudley) why for suns?
Bucks (Henson/Delly + draft asset) would rather have space
Knicks (Noah+ draft asset) better be a good asset

I would add Clippers to that list. Danilo Gallinari & possibly another player (in my dream trade it would be Patrick Beverley).
My picks:
2020 Draft (3rd pick) - Tyrese Haliburton, Devin Vassell, or Onyeka Okongwu
2021 Draft (11th pick) - Moses Moody

Kemba imo is the most likely player. Rebuild has to be considered and he would be the one to move. It's a tough move for Jordan to make due to his success on the court and his franchise records this past season. I do think that the guys up top understand the predicament we're in and you can't put all your chips on 1 guy when it's 5 vs 5.

Dwight is the player that the team needs to move the most, there just isn't going to be a lot of offers for him at this point. We'll probably have more success closer to the trade deadline.
