Both Brogdon and Middleton are guys I expect certain other teams to circle like vultures, daring the Bucks to pay the tax. I think they're both getting their respective maxes regardless of whether they deserve it or not. The Mavs maxed Wes Matthews after his injury. They won't hesitate to max either guy.

Can't believe Harrison Barnes opted-out of a $25M player option, must have received a call from Bron

Yeah that's crazy, that's a lot of money he's not going to get else where and he would have been on a decent team. Maybe the king's promised him something. Or he's going to take a hair cut to play with LeBron. ???

 Hey at least CP3 will be able to play next year! I was actually looking at Miami. They've overpaid a few young guys the last couple offseasons but haven't been able to take the next step. Maybe Houston uses them to breakup Paul's contract into more manageable pieces.

Or at least he's sending the signal that he'd take the call if it came LOL. And if not, he could always do a JJ Redick and be that overpriced vet on a 1-year deal that helps somebody hit their salary floor.

I think Barnes in LA makes pretty good sense. The only real problem is that I don't see them exhausting most of their cap room for yet another front court player. They need a guard.

It looks like Horford is definitely leaving Boston. Boston will only offer a 3-year deal and Horford wants 4.

The Celtics have imploded. Or rather, the Celtics are shifting to a reloading mode. It looks like they are going to bow out of contention for a couple of years and rebuild around Tatum, Brown and their 1st round picks.

My guess is that Hayward is available. He doesn't really fit into a youth movement. But if Ainge is smart, he'll wait a while and see if Haywood regains his old form after a full year of rebuilding confidence in his leg.

Yeah, kind of makes the very recent past of giving up picks to look not so good... I didn't see how they could blow it given what they had - go figure.

This really isn't helpful for the Kings. They are/were really close to being a playoff team. Now they have two big holes at C/SF. There are a lot of Cs on the market but very few SFs. Hope they don't wildly overpay.

There you have the difference between Ainge and Grunfeld, Ernie would have given him 4-5 year deal with %15 trade-kicker and no team option.

On another note, isn't a crying shame that this would have been the perfect time to contend in the East had Ernie not destroyed the franchise. A healthy Wall and better draft picks and we would be at the top of the East with the Bucks potentially.

They’ll keep Rozier. Morris is open to returning. But losing Horford they lose that rock in the middle with high IQ.

Celtics went from controlling the East for the next 5 years to treadmill really quickly. I love the NBA.

Mike Conley traded to the Jazz:

Memphis has traded guard Mike Conley to the Utah Jazz for Grayson Allen, Kyle Korver and Jae Crowder, the 23rd pick in Thursday's Draft and a future first-round pick, league sources tell ESPN.

Good deal for both IMO.

Good deal for both IMO.

Utah is going to need some forwards though. They have a payroll of $106M if they keep Favors, $90M if they let him go. I could see them letting Favors go and making a run at Paul Millsap. They'll also need a backup center they can count on, but those guys are a dime-a-dozen.

It's quite interesting to see the Jazz desperate enough to risk giving away a pretty valuable pick for Conley at this stage of his career.

Assuming everything goes ok with Wall's recovery you've got to imagine that he'd be a far better prospects two years from now with the same amount of years left on the contract.

Kind of puts the Wall situation in context.
