High on wings

Post#1 » by pollack419 » Thu Jul 19, 2018 3:40 pm

I am long time fan and always find the positive in my teams. I'm high and our wings and their potential. We have a lot of similar wings and could see most as starters but what positions are they (SG, SF or some PG) and who starts

Starters
RJ
?
?
Blake
Andre

I think
SG - Kennard, Glenn, Khryi
SF - Bullocks, SJ,

I like Brown too but I would like to see him play some PG when Blake is running Point Forward

How bout you?

As optimistic as I can be on the forum unfortunately I'm not high on our wings. SJ if he can't shoot this season is probably just another Crowder and he needs to either sign for a small deal or get traded. I know he's got a lion's heart though and with a new coach anything can happen. Kennard I believe in because he's got the best shooting form I see around. I mean shooting forms that compare to the best shooters in the NBA and he's got a great pull up jumper with okay handles and plays smart basketball. He's ideal for today's NBA. His issue is NOT his size, it's his lateral movement and I believe strength will come in time. Bullock's got the second best NBA 3pt % and it's well earned. He's gotten enough minutes to prove he's a great shooter. I just don't think he's a playmaker and this is as good as he'll get which is great for a contending team. He'd have a solid role. The young rookies similar story. They can shoot and play the right way and make hustle plays. Our wings can play but we need a playmaker. Of course we're counting on Blake to do all of that and I hope for the best. I would just rather have a wing playmaker and a stretch 4. So basically if Bullock and Blake switched places. In the end it doesn't matter because this is it. This is what the front office is convinced they can compete with. I'd roll with it but as soon as Jackson can get traded, I'd trade him. IF Stanley still hasn't figured it out he needs to get traded as well. I'm a fan of keeping good players but if you wanna compete you gotta keep taking risks (See Toronto, 3 years of barely making it and right when the door opens they take a big risk). As far as I know the door is still open for us. This year could be a make and break year for us, it's all about how healthy our players will be.

Our wing rotation is probably the worst in the league. Unless someone takes a major step forward, we'll probably be playing those positions by committee.

You’re high. You said it yourself.
