We might have some diamonds in the rough

Now clearly all of these players might not add up to anything but I actually do like that we are taking a chance to see if there is anything to work with and develop. Some are playing for their NBA lives and I like when players are hungry to make their mark.

1) Kevin Huerter. He looks 12 but the dude can clearly shoot the ball in college. 90% sure he doesn't become Klay but if you were going to aim to be a shooter you might as well aim high. Interested to see what ends up happening with him.

2) Justin Anderson. Pretty much a throw in from the Schroeder trade but he's only 24 and has some potential. Plus he knows Coach Pierce there must be something there. Seems like he's built pretty tough and might be a useful defender, no idea what his offense looks like though.

3) Alex Poythress. Awesome use of a 2 way deal. Interested to see if he has some NBA potential to be unlocked, I see some potential and maybe a little bit of that hunger with his two way contract situation.

4) Jaylen Adams. Also an awesome use of a 2 way deal. I think he has some potential and we might get to see some of it if Lin can't get healthy enough to get or stay on the court.

5) Alex Len. Alex Len is huge, literally one of the biggest people i've ever seen in real life. That has to count for something, and who knows what is going on in Phoenix. Maybe this could be the change in scenery that makes a difference.

Thats pretty much all I got, if one of these guys turns into a decent rotation player I'll be pretty happy. Gotta have something to look forward to.

*edit I apparently can't count to 5.

hah thanks I didn't even notice that, good eye. I'm pretty pumped to have Vince on the team, he's over 40 and can still ball somehow plus having him around to teach all these young guys is going to be great.

1. Again, he looks more like KD than Klay to me. Or Schrempf. More of a 3 than 2, more of a all around guy than a pure shooter, probably flourishes as a sixth man.

2. Needs a J.

3. Already played from two NBA teams, probably can be OK eventually.

4. He'd better be good, he's the third PG.

5. High pick, high potential, very inconsistent. Might have suffered from being on a terrible Suns team.

Daniel Hamilton: Seems like a boom or bust type. If he gets it, could be a very good.

Curious you put the 19th pick here but not the 30th pick.

I have no idea about Omari which is why I left him off. I’d like to think good things but he seems like such a reach at 30 from the little I’ve seen.

Been so busy this summer I forgot all about the Len pickup. I think he's a nice "nothing to lose" pickup. He's big, works hard in the post, and looks like he's got (or can develop) a respectable midrange shot. Could be a nice compliment to Trae on the p/r.

His hustle and three point shooting look solid. Supposed to be a good passer for a big. Looks like his defense is gonna be the determining factor in whether he turns into a decent rotation player.

:D

Alex Len looks like a keeper. That other kid, Vince Carter, will start game #1 because John Collins is out.
Hawks opening tip off just 51 hours away !!

8-)
