Preseason TV Coverage

Post#1 » by Kaboom3 » Wed Oct 3, 2018 4:00 am

I have the NBA league pass but noticed that the first two Pistons preseason games are not going to be covered on league pass. Any ideas on where I can see the preseason games live?

If local TV doesn't televise it, they won't be on league pass. Reddit usually has a link the the jumbotron feed though.

It's a joke that the first game isn't on tv. Tigers season is over and Red Wings don't start until tomorrow so why can't they show this game?

They only pay for the broadcast rights of shows they expect to make money on and they don't think many people will tune in. And really, they are probably right. This is a pistons forum and it's completely dead. I hope it picks up by the time the regular season rolls around, but there clearly isn't a lot of excitement even in the die-hard ranks.

It’s 2018 and we don’t have tv coverage. Ridiculous

I saw a post from I believe it was Rod Beard that said you can watch the game on the OKC Thunder app. I downloaded it to try.

That's lame that I'd need to install another teams' app to view the game.

Hopefully in the future the Pistons will offer a similar service.

Preaseason isn't all that important but still.

I don’t think the thunder are televising it, which is why it isn’t on league pass. I remember something like that happened last year too.

Yesterday the raps decided to not send their broadcast crew out to Utah so while you could watch the game in Canada, you had to listen to the jazz broadcast. Looks like every team handles preseason broadcasts differently, it just sucks when you can’t watch the game at all.

I won’t be able to watch much today but I’m hoping there’s some sort of link on reddit.

As long as there’s one of those good 9 min highlight vids on YouTube then I’m good. Almost impossible to watch some of those links anyways

All three next week (10/8, 10/10, and 10/12) are on FSD. That's an improvement; I don't think FSD has televised a Pistons preseason game in at least 5 years.

Looks like they will be televising those 3 games though. I really don’t recall them ever showing a preseason game on tv.
