Pats Lead Up - Bye Bye Ty and Ha Ha

Post#1 » by humanrefutation » Sun Oct 28, 2018 11:54 pm

We can take some good from that Rams game, especially on defense. But we can't give **** away. Pats won't give it to us, either.

We’re a different defense when the DBs are healthy. Also managed to limit the penalties against the Rams.

But it’s the little things that kill. Not sneaking it off the goal line, throwing on two straight downs when you only need 2 yards, bringing the ball out of the end zone, etc.

Coaching is the difference when it comes to those little things, and I just don’t trust MM.

NBC just ran an excellent ad for this game. MJ basically alludes to the GOAT debate with LeBron, noting "they even wear the same number," to reveal that it's actually an ad for Brady versus Rodgers.

I want to know if Zook specifically told Ty not to run it out. If not he should be fired.

Situational coaching, or lack thereof, kills us.
I'm against picketing but I don't know how to show it.

I've been saying it for years,if you are a quality team, the biggest key to beating a Mike McCarthy coached team is to literally just be patient, they will eventually beat themselves.

The Patriots will exploit the hell out of that.

We seem to have a rare ability to choke away games after overachieving to be in them.

The Steelers game last season.

You are 100% correct and it is pretty crazy when you think about it. Then to top it off, we have a fan base who then chalks these type of games up as great moral victories, because we didn't lose as bad as everyone thought.

Mike McCarthy vs Bill Belichick is the real life version of playing your 8 year old brother in Madden.

I want McCarthy gone too, but who is the 8 year old brother in your scenario?

Here are the last two times the Packers played the Patriots.

Your brother could be a video game savant too. What a dumb comparison. It would be more like 5 NBA players playing a pickup game against 5 midgets with the point rilamann is trying to make.

I'll give you a hint, it's not the guy who has coached in 8 Super Bowls, 10 if you count his days as a defensive coordinator. The box score of a loss was cute though.

I knew who you meant. The box score of the loss was with Flynn as QB in Foxboro.

Fully expect a similar, close loss that could easily be a win

The locked on packers podcast is always a good one if you want to feel optimistic. Peter comes of as a homer sometimes but usually brings up some great points to back his point of view. I think if we start looking to next year (assuming McCarthy gets the axe) their is A LOT to be excited about. What initially looked like a waste of 3 picks in those 3 receivers is looking great with the way EQ and MVS have played. Makes our receiving corps very deep and if we can get a pass rusher for next year our d line and secondary is already really good. Plus we get Ryan back to go alongside Martinez and that’s a pretty solid MLB group in today’s NFL. In a fear of sounding like Rila though this does hinge on McCarthy being gone. After we’ve seen the Bucks have basically a culture shift with coach Bud, I think we could see similar results where with a new coach where we could be next years Rams where we get out to an 8-0 start.

What's frustrating is that yesterday showed that this team can still hang with, and beat anyone on any given Sunday. Only to be outdone by poor situational coaching decisions, and undisciplined player **** ups. Gotta make it to the playoffs first though.

If Montgomery isn't cut, that sets a real bad message in the locker room. It basically says you can be insubordinate and go against the coaches orders without any real repercussions. The article that Mike Silver wrote, it sounds like the anonymous teammates that were quoted in that article basically want him gone for that gaffe. If his own teammates are basically saying that sort of stuff, the writing is on the wall for Montgomery.

Yeah, Monty is getting some real flack from the locker room. It's clear he chose to bring it out despite his coaches ordering him to do otherwise. You don't often hear teammates saying things like this:

Silver’s sources said Montgomery had a “tantrum” on the sideline. And one of the people he talked to made the direct link between Montgomery’s fit and the fumble. Here’s the money quote from the article:

“They took him out for a play and he slammed his helmet and threw a fit,” one Packers player said. “Then they told him to take a knee, and he ran it out anyway. You know what that was? That was him saying, ‘I’m gonna do me.’ It’s a f----- joke.

”I mean, what the f--- are you doing? We’ve got Aaron Rodgers, the best I’ve ever seen, and you’re gonna take that risk? I mean, it’s ‘12’! All you gotta do is give him the ball, and you know what’s gonna happen.”

You don't normally want players calling another player out especially if this is anonymous....however this is NOT a normal situation.

If the Demarius Randall situation last year is any indication, Monty won’t be cut. They most likely get rid of him at years end though.
