Beyond Roy, it's nice that Mussina finally got in, both because he deserves it, and because having he and Edgar on the ballot was really screwing things up for guys like Larry Walker.

Walker should be a shoo-in, but looked almost certain to fail to reach 75% last year. That's crazy, because his numbers are pretty comparable to second-ballot, 93% Vlad Guerrero; he shouldn't be a particularly controversial choice. At least his jump this year gives him a fighting chance in 2020.

Awesome! We loved Roy but he definitely should go in as a Jay. Congrats! I guarantee there will be a lot of Philadelphia fans there this summer to help the Toronto fans honor his memory!

should we care that he's not wearing a logo on his cap?
i mean, he pitched a perfect game with the Phillies and a no-no in the playoffs.

Am thinking they don't know Halladay''s actual choice so they'd rather stay in the middle.

Probably don't want to appear like they favour one team over another, especially considering the Phillies seemingly did relatively more to honour Roy this season than the Jays.

Sounds like it was his family's preference. I don't mind that. There are a couple without a logo: best comp would probably be Catfish Hunter, who was at his best with the A's, but won two titles with the Yankees and chose to have a blank hat. Greg Maddux did the same, despite the bit where I'm sure 95% of people remember his time with the Braves far more than his early career with the Cubs.
