Anthony Davis could return as soon as next week after receiving outside medical opinions on his volar plate avulsion fracture in his left index finger.
Davis will be re-evaluated on Friday.
Rich Paul had concerns that Davis could be out until after the All-Star break.
"It's a better outcome than we originally feared," Paul told ESPN. "It's more of an injury of pain tolerance. They need to see the swelling go down and the range of motion increase. We will proceed with caution as it pertains to Anthony."
