If Ross went 6-12 instead of 1-12, the Magic still lose this game.
Augustin held Knight to 2 points. Briscoe allowed Clarkson to score 18.
Briscoe played pool on both ends of the court. Given his 4 points, that is a 14 point deficiency. That was the difference in the game's score line.

That makes no sense.

This team is going to miss the playoffs, pick at the back of the lottery or just outside of it, miss out on all the best talent for the 5th year in a row, and sign Vucevic and Ross to extensions.
Rinse repeat. This season is no different from the previous 8, half ass win for playoffs, half ass tank. Stay in mediocrity.

This is too simplistic.
Yes, the Magic lost by 14, but that also includes fouling Cleveland intentionally three times in the final minute to gift them another 5 points. If Ross hits more shots during the game, it probably never even gets to that position in the first place.
This also ignores the fact that every other part of Ross' game, specifically his focus level defensively and his decision making, both dramatically suffer when he's not making shots.
He was the worst player on the court last night all-around. Briscoe played a slightly less awful game offensively and they were both equally horrific defensively.
