The Clippers began their week with a resounding home victory over the Celtics (2-1), but were outclassed the next night against the Trail Blazers (2-1). The Clippers then finished the week off with wins over the lowly Bulls (0-3) and the Nets (1-3) who are fighting for their first playoff appearance in 4 seasons.
The Clippers have a 6-game advantage over the Kings (7 when you consider the Tie-Breaker), but are in a near deadlock with the Jazz and the Spurs where we are separated by 1/2 game or mere percentage points. The final game of the season will be against the Jazz and that may be the game that decides who has the honor of facing off against the Warriors in the first round.
The upcoming week will see us hosting the Pacers before going on an east coast road trip to visit the Cavaliers and Knicks.

I'm happy to report we're back in "two poll choices just aren't enough" territory.

Re: Week 22 Star Players of the Week
2nd in FTA: 28.8 pg
and we're 1st overall for the year
make no mistake, that's Doc's whining
he's the best
league median this year is around 23.5
since he got here, we've finished 2nd twice, 3rd twice and 4th once
[under Vinny, we were 10th]
Doc's act is worth 2 or 4 points a game
that's no small thing

Re: Week 22 Star Players of the Week
21st in OPP FG%: 47.7%
this sucks, but I wonder if there's more to the story
we're always gonna be weak on rim protection with Harrell at C
but iirc, we've done a great job enforcing the 3-point line

This team had many games in the first 3 months where they defended outside and inside poorly so if its now down to just inside that is a major improvement.
My eyes glaze over when reading alternative stat (not advanced stat) narratives that go many paragraphs long. If you can not make your point in 2 paragraphs it may not be a great point.
