I guess doc wants the clippers to get their asses handed to them in the first round by the warriors. Great- we’ll get to see curry dancing and showboating, green cursing out the refs and get no tech and Durant being a sour puss every time a call doesn’t go his way. Just terrible. Almost worse than missing the playoffs outright. It would at least save the humiliation

Who is resting other than Gallo? Bev?
My eyes glaze over when reading alternative stat (not advanced stat) narratives that go many paragraphs long. If you can not make your point in 2 paragraphs it may not be a great point. :D

Harrell plays some of the worse damn interior defense I’ve seen these past few months. He’s not committing to the switch or helping on screens or catching the ball handler at the rim he’s just standing there and yelling at his teammates when the guy scores

Anticipated Outcome

Post#10 » by Ranma » Mon Apr 8, 2019 2:44 am

The Clippers did a good job of staying close in the first half and even getting the lead, especially considering how short-handed we are. Shamet's play was the key to that but the team seemed to gameplan for DeMarcus Cousins and actually did a good job of making him miss shots and drawing fouls on him. Ironically enough, things went downhill once Cousins was forced to leave the game for an extended stretch with Bogut being the catalyst for the Warriors' explosion in blowing this game out.

Automatic 8th

By virtue of this loss, Clippers are stuck at 8th seed. Here's why:

1. Thunder: Games vs. Rockets and Bucks will be resting day games in preparation for playoffs. Thunder will win against lesser talent. A Rockets win improves their conference record (27-24).
2. Spurs: Game vs. Mavericks is against a lottery team. Clippers and Spurs are tied 47-34 each, but Spurs conference record is greater than Clippers (29-22 over 27-23). Spurs will want to win out as their Plan A.
3. Clippers: Game vs. Jazz will be a resting day game. Win or lose, the Thunder and Spurs will win theirs. They also need to get their guys healthy and fit, and for that to be a reality, they'll have to tank the last game.

Warriors-Clippers rematch, here we come.

I'll just say it: not tanking after the Tobias trade was stupid. I'd much rather have a draft pick to look forward to than getting swept.

Last week I was thinking that our last game vs. Utah would be the one to decide whether we are 5th seed or 6th. :(

the loss to lakers was inexcusable.

Well observed, Ramna. Cousins has been a plus/minus liability all year. If not disaster. The stats just confirm the reality.

I monitor Shamet pretty closely even during the game, as a Sixers fan and who thought the Clips should trade for him. He's a plus/minus miracle, even when he isn't shooting.

And BTW, even though he didn't start until he became a Clipper, Shamet's 5th on the all-time rookie list for 3 pointers made.

Donovan Mitchell 187
Lillard 185
Curry and Doncic 166
Shamet very close to 166

Rockets can still finish #2 and Utah likely won’t play their best players because they are now likely locked into the #5 spot
