Do our jerseys suck?

Is it just me or do our jerseys stink? Why can’t we bring back the good ol Dino’s. I feel those were by far, our nicest ones.

I’m a fan of “We the North” and like the OVO city jerseys but besides that... :nonono:

step it up Nike et al.

Just curious... What made you think that it was a good idea to create a very random negative post about our jerseys, shortly after a hard fought and emotional game 7 win?

The fact that being realistic is an everyday approach. Hey we fought hard tonight and we won. But does that stop someone from talking on something other than that?

In no shape or form was this post meant to take away from our win, and the fact you feel it does shows why everyone thinks Raps fans are so negative to begin with. How does an honest question which attempts to look at something that can be done better, belittle a W?

I didn’t know this forum didn’t allow for random discussion, perhaps I was mislead by the “Toronto Raptors” title, suggesting any Raptor related talk is acceptable.

Your acting like my post is going to affect our chances of winning or something.

Perhaps next time I’ll just post GREAT WIN! After each W

We going to the ecf and this guy is over here talking bout jerseys. I mean not the game, not the greatest shot in raptor history, but jerseys. We really gonna sit here and talk about jerseys.

Next season push gold and black fulltime and get rid of all that North stuff and have Toronto on all of them.

Our alternate White on Red NORTH jersey is one of the absolute best in the league. I'm pretty sure I'll be getting one July 1st. :nod:

Our current logo and jerseys have sold more merchandise than the dinosaur merch and purple ever sold because of winning. Purple and the Dino logo associated with losing and embarrassment

Current logo is nice. Took awhile for the watermelon to grow on the fan base and myself but I’ve come to love it. Seeing Kawhi in our home jerseys gives me flashbacks of Jordan with the similar colour scheme.

If we aren't ever going to go back to the Purple and Red (which is the colour scheme I want back the most), then we should do something with pinstripes. White with thin red pinstripes (a la Pacers), and Toronto or Raptors written in bold red lettering across the chest.

Here are some concept jerseys, though, that I found online with a quick search. Some of these are pretty badass

The last one is probably my favourite along with the fourth one.

Last one just looks really classy and is consistent with our original logo and jersey style.

Purple era is nearly dead thanks to the team successes of the red, black & white, with silver era and thank heavens for that. Kawhi’s shot helps turn the page further on the purple era.

We should honor it with the throwback but that’s about it. Even the brief retro 90s fad with hipsters feels like it’s largely come and gone. It’s been more than 15 years now so most kids associate the red/black/white with the team more. I think even the Drake colors have pushed purple further down the list for the franchise.

Raptors jerseys and logo are among the best in the league simply for being clean and wearable without looking like garish trash. Originality is overrated for jerseys if you want to make them wearable. Those ugly Hawks jerseys with the triangles and red and neon green are original but who would wear those around the city or into a bar?

We have enough variants and city/ovo versions to mix it up anyway.

Still hate the watermelon. Won't spend any money on anything with that logo.

The black OVO North jerseys look fire though.
