I know, that doesn't mean Buck is back but I wonder if they were pushing him out due to his lack of chemistry with Kara. Going for 40-something play-by-play guys like Hellie and Feldman.

I edited your thread title 80sballboy. Gonna stick with the theme of paraphrasing some of Buck's most memorable calls:

Wow, grats to Kara. While I wouldn't call it a historic achievement, it's significant.

Please no Drew Gooden. I bet that's where they head next.

Could be. Drew comes across as someone who'd be fun to watch a game with, but he talks to much to stay focussed enough on the game to take Kara's place.

It's like Chris Webber when I watch TNT or NBA TV.

Too much talking.

I’d love some local press to dig into why we didn’t offer her a position. I’m not saying we should have, but why didn’t we?

Kara is awesome as a commentator. She tended not to sugar-coat.
And was reasonably insightful. Nice combination.
They should have locked her up with a similar deal ie asst coach.

Amen!! I need the dulcet tones of Phil to help lull me to sleep and there is no local broadcast teams/better chemistry.

May we all find a lover that looks at us with half of the warmth that Buck’s gaze holds for Phil

I’m happy for Kara, she was a great analyst. I’m 50/50 on gooden because he makes me laugh and has somewhat good knowledge. Was also thinking AD until the pelicans got him which leads me to Brendan Haywood. He’s great on nbatv and would do well calling games.

Haywood was pretty good in the limited time I listened to him.
