I don't think we really had to stretch and waive before 12 PM EST to complete this trade. Think we have till 7/10.

Didn't say when we had to do it by. From that tweet, it seems that I was correct since we can still waive and stretch Anderson.

I’m an SEC guy. Herro was a product of Cal’s stacked teams. He’s one dimensional, his defense is putrid, if you play tough D on him he collapses. Grant Williams and Admiral Schoeffield got in his head plenty. He’s awful. Trade him while you can. Sean Lampley was better than this guy.

I'd do that, but Waiters would prob start.

Can Bradley play some PG minutes sparingly? I think that between Nunn/Waiters/Herro/Bradley they could cover the backup roles till we get someone.

I know I have said that before, but just look at what the Heat accomplished after his re-signing: 2 seasons of missing the playoffs, one first round exit, Ryan Anderson, and now possibly Ryan Anderson payment for multiple seasons.

So you say this... and yet analytics, stats and tape show that he was one of the best defenders on Kentucky and excels in the pick and roll (on ball - making him more than just one dimensional).

Idk about "playing tough D on him" - the 2 guys you mentioned played him 2-3 times out of 37 games. Maybe they just have his number. What were his stats vs them?

Yeah, but if you have someone on the payroll that is not on the roster for multiple seasons, you hurt the team long term. The team this year is not going to the finals or even the ECF’s. If you give the Heat some cap space next offseason or even the offseason after that though, they have a chance. Heat don’t need Anderson on the payroll messing things up.
