Grizzlies don't have a great roster this summer, all of their big guys aren't playing.

Bowen has looked the part of spacer SF. Grabbed a rebound or two. Good jump shot and does a good job of finding the corners to present himself for 3’s/outlets.

Bowen and Alize look like they belong. Holiday has a lot of points but I'm not impressed.

Sumner might’ve been the worst player out there. His foot obviously is still bothering him. Too bad.

Some of these guys like Demps and Akoon-Purcell are terrible.

Jaylen Johnson looks like he shouldn’t even be playing GLeague.

Cody Demps looks good defensively and effortwise at the guard.

Jakeenan Gant has a few good moments but didn’t get much playing time, not enough to form a strong opinion.

and we had no center. Goga might have helped, but basically we looked terrible. lots of wannabees trying to be heroes.

Akoon Purcell (or however you spell that) looked terrible

Impressed by Holiday's hustle and energy, disappointed by Sumner's general ineffectiveness

I caught most of the game. Holiday did what he was supposed to. Sumner just did not look good. I suspect he will take some time to figure out how to use his new muscle at game speed. Alize looked good, but wish his shot was better as it still seems to have that weird hitch. Bowen impressed me the most. His shot looks decent and he was active.

Can't take too much from Summer League though. It's almost all just guys trying to show out with no real gameplan.

I really like that it seems we are trying to develop a pipeline of talent with the G League team. If we're going to be successful in the modern NBA with the money constraints, we desperately need to be able to find guys like Sumner who may be able to be rotation guys on the cheap. And it may take a lot of work, but if you can find just one Covington, it will go a looong way.

Alize to me is the perfect example of an elite G-League level talent. He's supposed to be an elite rebounder and finisher inside but I've never seen an NBA Pacers game (Summer League/Preseason/Regular Season) where he's dominated the glass, or came close. He had 6 rebounds today in 29 minutes not elite. Also Alize if you drive right 12 times in a row and the last 6 you get stripped of the ball, do something else.

Holiday did what he was designed to which is run an offense and take a ton of shots. He did decently but if he got hurt down 30 I was going to throw something. Sumner was awful and he looked hurt but hopefully he bounces back.

Bowen I really liked what he brought to the game. He didn't get many chances to score but he was fluid, had a good shot and was fighting on the offensive and defensive glass which is huge if Turner is in the game. I really hope they can focus a little more on him in the following games.

And yes, Goga is missed in the middle if he's as good as Pacers are saying. It's just 1 game so all these could be easily flip-flopped next game but I hope they can develop a couple of these guys into rotation guys.

It's only summer league so take it for what it's worth. This was probably my fourth game i've watched in the summer league, and i gotta say we were the worst team i've seen play. Small sample size, but it wasn't even close.

It shouldn't surprise anyone to be honest though. We're a team that was filled up just this past week. Many of these teams have draft picks from a few seasons ago still playing. The chemistry has to be difficult to get used to when most of these guys have never played with each other until a few days ago in the mini-camp back in Indianapolis.

I thought Bowen looked okay. Good hustle and good around the rim. Will like to see more of him in this tournament and in the G-league. Some of these other guys who came in hyped up like Demps, Jaylen Johnson and Akoon-Purcell were absolute terrible i thought.

Holiday was awesome, but i thought he had too many poor shots and too many silly turnovers. Someone tweeted (maybe Agness?) that coaches gave him the green light to do whatever he wanted offensively, but he got the ball stolen from him while driving in several times and sometimes when he had no good look, he just put up a prayer shot instead of being smart with the basketball. As good as Holiday was, there was moments i shaking my head too.

Sumner to me is a question mark still. His feet were still bothering him. And he was rusty. I'm not sure why they kept him out there as long as they did. The kid is strong, even after the hard fall, he got up and remained in the game, and then had another hard fall after he went to the basket. Then shortly after that they took him out. Tough to grade his game when i don't know how much effect his injury still had on him?

And lastly, on Goga (this is why i quoted this post afterall), i am not sure what people will expect he will do? Not just on realgm but i've also read it on twitter. Supposedly, he will arrive to Vegas sometime Monday. With all the jetleg from traveling, he will probably only get Tuesday to practice with the team. They have a early game on Wednesday so i can't imagine they will be doing any drills the day of the game. Will they even play him after one practice? Or just save him for the fourth game only?

it sure didn't feel like they were getting these guys ready to play for the Ants. we used their coach but didn't bother with anything that looked like an offense. I didn't see any signs of teaching.

I’m asking because I have no idea. How many practices did they have?

Sounds more like they're getting them ready to play for Nate if they're not running any kind of offense.
