I like it. Not sure he'll play every night, but he's instant offense off the bench.

Yeah, 5 games.

Heard his mom was dying from cancer at the time of his positive test. Can be excused.

Hope they dont release the developing Woods for someone who is 30 and had his fair share of issues despite the unrealized potential..

I'm not sure what his role is on this team, seems like Kieff fills the role he would.

We'll see I suppose.

It is funny remembering the discussion surrounding the 2008 draft on these boards back in the day. Rose was the generally thought upon number one pick but there were definitely those who supported Beasley. Never thought we'd see them both on the Pistons at the same time.

Nice. I like this. Beasley has had some good stretches of basketball in his career but has been more down then up. We are thin on the wings though so added a veteran NBA player helps a bit even if he isn't consistently in the rotation. We've had an underrated offseason. Our depth is significantly improved from last year.

Very good pickup! Now we finally have a decent small forward on our team!

I thought the Wood pickup was a good fit with an upside. I don't mind adding Beasley but not at the cost of Wood. Hopefully this is just a stepping stone toward another trade.

Read on Twitter

so it sounds like a non guaranteed contract, and depends on who does well in training camp and pre-season

We go into the tax for Beas? Or is Wood sure to be waived.

Beas isn't a bad teammate from what I can glean - it's the coaches and FO that end up not liking the guy. I kind of like that Bron wanted him in LAL last season and then traded him away because he called Bron on some of his ****.

Beas is more of a four now isn't he? Or can he still guard the big threes? If so he and Snell could hold that down a lot better than last season. This would bury Svi though, and Doumbouya never gets off the bench his rookie year.

A thought - if we're bringing in Beasley, why not have brought in Melo instead?
