Good weekend of games.

Since I've been sharing Jason Kirk's work for a couple years, it's probably a good idea to share this:

My debut novel is on its way, with orders hopefully available during football season. I’ll share much more ASAP, but for now, that math is: I send you 15+ weekend guides, and you order a ~$15 book that’d be worth it even if I hadn’t. (Those of you pledging money to this Substack: That’s a lovely gesture, but I won’t touch that cash. Book or bust!)

To be extra certain you don’t miss it, sign up for updates from Shutdown Fullbooks, the internet’s only publisher. (It’ll also be available via Amazon, your local book shop, and wherever else.)

I'm probably more excited to watch the Colorado Primes beat the absolute doors off Nebraska than I am for the Badger game...

NBC airing Maryland vs Charlotte Saturday night is hilarious
Coach Drew: "Milwaukee has always been a team that I have been intrigued by. When we played them, they were a tough team for us to play. Although we did beat them all four times"

Will probably tune in tonight to see Bert vs Liepold. Illinois should have lost to Toledo last week.

Today is gonna be so fun. Weather is as nice as it gets, great games all day. Gonna get all the chorin done with football in the background, then probably take an edible and do some baking and food prep for tomorrow.

Coach Prime is going to do well anywhere, but CU is such an easy sell to get top players in. Great school, beautiful town, and one of the best football players ever as your coach. Prime gonna be getting whoever he wants, hes also smart enough to know he needs high level assistants and it seems he lets them do their thing. Guy is a legit CFB head coach. and now the Big12 move which means you can sell playing close to home to most of the top level guys who are from the south.

Assuming he does succeed I wonder how long he sticks around before bolting for a helmet school job

He's 56, he'll be gone in 2 years.

20 minute halftimes are too long (NFL is 12)

Much like UW at times, it's laughable that a P5 school has that bad of a QB.
