Seriously.

The entire organization is filled with the most insecure, least self-aware people in the league. It's incredible.

He talks about Harden in ways that the Buss family never did about Kobe or Cuban never did of Dirk.

Harden has done absolutely zero in the grand scheme of things. Nothing but put up numbers on a second round team. He's basically this eras Carmelo Anthony. Yet here the owner is kissing the ground he walks on. This is the Rockets peak. Get used to it, Rockets fans.

It is a bit hyperbolic, but he is actually a pretty damn good post-defender when switched.

If only post defense wasn't the least valuable part of defense.

Then in the words of Bob Knight, play him at center!

He's strong like an ox and he can bang bodies with players posting him up but i do have an issue with Harden's post defense.
Everytime they show a replay up close Harden fouls the offensive player 2-3 times in one possesion.

He's way more physical than he should allowed to be down in the post.
(And that only pisses me off cause he gets all those "touch contact" fouls on the other end. It's the visual difference from one play straight to the next one)

Obviously that would change if he had to guard Giannis, Embiid, AD, etc. But no doubt he is a very good post defender for a wing, reminiscent of D Wade in that regard.

If only the topic wasn't exclusively about post defense.

Stay on topic, or read.

You're the one off-topic. Apparently Harden was the no-qualifier needed best post defender last year. It was only an issue if he tried.

Stay on the topic that the Rockets owner is an insecure moron.

Best post defender plus best defensive rebounder in the league. Russ and James are mini twin towers.

Yeah, he can probably guard a fence post down low. Too bad he can't even guard a chair on the perimeter.

So he's good at guarding the one play offenses are completely shifting away from? It's something I guess

are you willing to pull up the stats that TF is talking about in order to disprove them? Obviously need to look at the stats before you work to discredit them based on your "eye-test"

 he's been to the conference finals twice with the Rockets. Might be Rocket's peak but the rest you wrote is wrong.

He gave up 64.2% shooting at less than five feet from the hoop last season. Yea, dude was a beast in the post.

I don't like Harden, but he has a way bigger impact than Carmelo ever did. That's just insulting to call him this eras Anthony.
