Tomas Satoransky Named Starting Point Guard For Bulls

Post#1 » by RealGM Wiretap » Thu Oct 17, 2019 5:14 am

Jim Boylen named Tomas Satoransky the starting point guard for the Chicago Bulls over Kris Dunn.

Boylen pointed to Satoransky's shooting and off-ball movement as reasons for his decision. Satoransky is expected to play between 30-32 minutes per game, with Dunn getting 18-22 minutes.

“I love the way he throws the ball ahead. I love his command of our offense already. He’s obviously a terrific shooter. He can play off those guys, he can play on the ball and off those guys and create space. Him and I have a real good connection and he’s got a really good feel. And I feel confident in him running that first group," said Boylen.

Zach LaVine, Otto Porter Jr., Lauri Markkanen and Wendell Carter Jr. round out the Bulls starting five.

Boylen added that Dunn has embraced being a leader in the team's second group.

“Kris has to be kind of our defensive force in that second group. He can impact the game coming off the bench. He’s embraced it, I’ve spoken with him, and we had a good conversation about it. He’s all about winning, and I’m really proud of him.’’

Well-earned. Sato is a solid point guard.

Boylen really seems to be able to approach his players in a way that results in understanding and cohesiveness.

I have to say I’m pulling for him to have success this season.
